Helpful Self-Talk, Anyone?
I’d also like to quickly say that I’m confident about medical choices I’m making for myself, so medical advice isn’t necessarily needed - this is more for the
mental
health
side of what we go through.

Did you know Bach lost 11 children?
Read this Tweet recently, which resonated with my own positive
mental
health
experience on increasing prayer as part of many Lifestyle changes. I have waxed lyrical here about many other changes but have always hesitated to mention prayer for those wary of the 'God Squad'.

Unreal letter from the hospital!
I've been waiting to hear if they'll give me physiotherapy or
mental
health
care or pain management... just something! And all the letter says is 'we are aware you are an out patient in this department. If you wish to stay on our list you must phone the number in the next 14 days.

health
issues affecting men, I wanted to start a discussing and supporting one another in our journeys towards better mental well-being.

Day 9 of waking up in tears and panic
My daughter’s
mental
health
issues and physical issues just paralyze me with worry. I just don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel right now and it’s overwhelming.

hi, since been diagnosed a year ago my anxiety and
mental
health
have declined hugely alongside the physical parts of RA and medication (I’m on MTX 15mg) I also have a history of trauma and ptsd type symptoms, and am peri menopausal.. so i don’t think there’s one specific cause for the anxiety probably

Warning! HealthUnlocked communities impact anxiety levels.

I'm 22 years old and my life is severely being impacted by this, I'm frequently off work, I have no social life and my

I know now
I’ve always hated that I’m lonely all the time Since I was 19, I’ve been trying to get help from
mental
health
services such as therapists, psychiatrist, crisis lifeline, and support groups, especially advices such as getting out of my comfort zones, meditation, etc. None of these works.

Journey to recovery
Your
mental
health
also plays a part in recovery. I would suggest taking your mind from the “I’m different and a strange person because of my IBS or digestive problems “ to “I’m the same old me that used to have digestive issues once in a while but it doesn’t determine my day”.

Volunteering lightens my mood
After a traumatic life upheaval 15 years ago, I received real
mental
health
treatment for the first time, I'm 58. Along with that treatment I got my diagnosis and an understanding of how to ease my symptoms.
