A Personal Win!

ok so as a lit of people here with B/I will suffer from various things, like memory issues, forgetting things, concentration .. dont need to list them here, but please let me share something uplifting for once!!

back story - a few years ago.. haha! i discovered the benefits archery as a mental health thing - but also allows me to help a little with concentration, posture, fitness even breathing and relaxation, amongst its many benefits. plus epseically after coming out of covid lockdowns etc which was when this journey began - as an ad with a local venue offering the 'have a go' sessions. I was hooked...

well today, I managed to achieve my 'indoor class 1 archer' of which I had to get the qualifying scores on 3 shoots within the same indoor season. (pending verification of course!)

oh, and I forgot to take my bow rest with me, - packed all the other important stuff ... so still a work in progress! also forgot to put on a springy plunger to the bow when got to the shoot line - quick dash back to back to put it on.. still a very postive day!

Thanks Kolez, I puut it htere to say that I see a lot of people struggling with everything they go through, and sometimes a breath of fresh air when any one of us does something different, that they are happy with, despite the odds stacked against them. posititivy should be shared too and hopefully will inspire someone, or give someone reason not to give up. and on a personal note Kolez, thank you for your kind words. going to try to acheive the next level in due course.

I did try tai chi (form 24) but could not get my body to work and flow properly adn i left there feeling more frustrated.. at least with archery there is not much if any complex (for me anyway) movements. however, for me, archery seems to work and mostly come away from it feeling better mentally (bit sore in other areas) but generally come away feeling better than going in.
