wires
I am just enquiring if anyone else who has recently had open heart surgery, has a hole at the top of their scar. It appears like a hole but I have noticed wire sticking out (appears white) Just wondered if anyone has noticed this and what it could indicate.

Newbie - Constant bradycardia afib/arrhythmia symptoms?
Hi! I'm curious if anyone has/had constant 24/7 bradycardia afib/arrhythmia? What symptoms did you experience? Short background, husband had an ICD implanted 6 of Feb and it has caused/triggered constant afib (reading medical research I now understand these procedures are known to in cases be pro-arrhythmic

Thrush but not a bird
I have been given the wrong dose of my inhaler for Asthma. Now have to use two puffs instead of one to obtain the same amount. Will this increase my sore throat and oral thrush burden ? It is something I struggle with. Nothing to be done until Monday. Any advice would be welcome.

Exercise following open heart surgery
Eleven weeks ago I had open heart surgery to remove a large atrial myxoma. I would now like to start getting back into exercise as I’m feeling much better though still have some soreness around my sternum. I would particularly like to get back into yoga to build up my strength and suppleness. Has anyone

Aspirin vs apixaban and other blood thinners
Has anyone here with atrial fibrillation been prescribed aspirin rather than other blood thinners like apixaban? I would rather take aspirin but my cardiologist prefers apixaban. It seems like there is research that goes both ways. My GP rolls his eyes and says opinion changes from year to year. I

Therapy and academic struggles
I have been having issues with the
mental
health
professionals I approach for almost 2 years now. Honestly, given up on therapy. My current needs are pertaining to loneliness and a complete lack of motivation, but I cannot have that because I need to apply to uni soon. Any suggestions?

Changing room Chat. May. Week 2. Sit a while and just chill out...
“ People who exercise regularly, have better
mental
health
and emotional well-being” That is something, I have read over and over again, as I explored this topic... and there does appear to be, also, a wealth of evidence to support that.

Congenital Heart Disease
Hello This is mainly aimed at Females who have congenital heart disease. I have recently had my third open heart surgery, it’s been successful and I’m recovering well. I would like my own family in the future which the hospital is aware of because that’s on of the reasons as to why I have had surgery

Maybe an alternative to Nattokinase et al, though not yet

Mixed feelings about hospital too busy to review 12 months after ablation.
I am now 12 months NSR after successful ablation and experiencing mixed feelings."Reviewed without contact .No follow up planned." If I run into problems contact them & they will arrange a follow up. I just have a few questions. 1.I need to know what I can expect from now on. 2.As it over 2.5 years

Facebook group for parents of children with heart block
Hi! My daughter was diagnosed with heart block when she was a year old. I've found it really hard that so little information is available about heart block in children, and there is no specific group for affected families in the UK. I am sure that lots of families have useful knowledge and experience

Discomfort 8 weeks post ablation
So sorry to ask a question again. I live on my own and things get worrying. Had ablation 8 weeks ago and after 10 days felt great. Walking well etc etc. 3 days ago I started to feel chest discomfort and aching in my back. My Apple Watch says I am in sinus rhythm and 65-75bpm but the trace is all over

Recovery
Has anyone else had previous open heart surgery and had burning pain and discomfort in left side of ribs, back and sharp pains in chest? I know this is all part of the healing process but the burning pain and discomfort has started in the past week, which is my third/forth week after surgery. I expected

Undiagnosed and Confused
My
mental
health
is my worst symptom, literally everything in the world is too much effort, my memory is becoming appalling, no matter how much I sleep I am tired and it feels like that is the root cause of my issues, my
mental
health
is declining because of my physical tiredness.

Hello!
I have depression, a abusive mother, trauma, ADHD, and some bad
mental
health
. I don’t know what it means, all I know is that my feelings are broken. I have no friends or anyone in my life other than my dad. I joined to build relationships with people who understand the way I feel.
