Overeating When Anxious
I have successfully used
meditation
as a help to reduce anxiety. I also take the generic form of Lexapro, 10mg, which helps. I think my overeating from stress comes from my childhood. My mother and my sisters have had both anxiety and depression.

A Fabulous PR, fitness and form mantra
It’s human nature to sit on one’s laurels, and I was enjoying swimming 1600m easily with a HR around 130 and in a state of semi-
meditation
. Couldn’t carry on like that.

Anesthetic anxiety
I saw my GP, several counselors, a psychiatric, a holistic MD, tried several antidepressants and anti anxiety meds, tried massage, acupuncture,
meditation
, etc, etc. I had a constant feeling of terror even though I was medically fine and had a great life.

Driving
Lately, they are much better and I am doing deep breathing and
meditation
. I'm also working with a therapist. When my parents first told me that they think driving would be a good idea my heart started racing and my tinnitus kicked in full force. Now, that I've had some time to think about it.

Meditation
I just wanted to say to share that I started meditating a few months ago . Honestly everyone should try it you have nothing to lose. It just has me thinking in a whole new way and I like it, and had to share 🌹

Resources Currently Helping Me
Try new things like
meditation
, mindfulness, journaling, yoga, etc. You never know what may help unless you try it. Per a suggestion from my provider, I started a gratefulness journal. She instructed me to write down 5 things I am grateful for each night before bed.

Anxiety has definitely changed my life...
After that I started doing this every single day:
meditation
(mornings and nights), journaling, drinking lots of water, eating healthy, taking a multivitamin, working out, stop using social media, exposure therapy, practicing cbt, and going to bed early.

Where do I start?
I have in the past taken medication, have had a full year of CBT, have read numerous self-help books and tried
meditation
and mindfulness. I have been to self esteem classes via the NHS, however felt so sorry for everyone, I couldn't face going again.

W3R1 - indeed a nice run
The next 15% of stress I got rid of during 40 min stretching, nice short warm/hot bath to relax leg muscles, and 30 min of guided
meditation
. No, I normally don't meditate. Recently, I've started doing so to check if it helps with stress. 10 min of sitting and concentrating on breathing helps.

For example I am looking for suggestions such as a change in diet or if people have found activities such as yoga,
meditation
, acupuncture or certain exercises helpful towards pain relief. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

a really boring thing to have to do, keeping records
Off the top of my head, I come up with
meditation
, mindfulness, good music, pretty artwork even a nice sunset. I like to look at the stars and wonder. Not to find an answer or anything, just to wonder. Very handy being human, I can imagine.

Sleep problems
This isn’t a question but I just wanted to recommend Michael Sealey’s YouTube channel for guided
meditation
. It really helps me fall asleep and calm down when I’m feeling anxious.

Triggers .....Oops
In the interim I have found that YouTube videos by Jason Stevenson on
Meditation
for Anxiety and Nausea a great help. It is particularly helpful for controlling breathing when ectopics get the better of you. Pete
