I just wanted to say to share that I started meditating a few months ago . Honestly everyone should try it you have nothing to lose.
It just has me thinking in a whole new way and I like it, and had to share 🌹

totally agree, i recommend it to everyone.
Sounds like something I need to try. I struggle with anxiety and worry plus anger overtakes suddenly when things go wrong. So maybe meditation will help. Is it something you do from home or do you go to a group?
Rosemary
I find a group helps. and I do it on my own as well. there are several groups who do it for free, worth checking out in your area.
Try magnesium citrate (for harder stools) and magnesium glycinate (for softer stools) for anxiety xx
Magnesium Plus from Naturewise is half a year supply for £20. Includes vit D3 and vit K to help magnesium absorb. Reviews suggest it helps restless leg, muscle aches and sleep too.
i do it on my own or if im out and its getting noisy noisy, i just close my eyes breathe slowly, clearing my head of any thoughts and whats going on around me.
gradually i feel myself floating,as if im no longer sat on the chair, i am really but ive got myself into such a state of relaxation, its an illusion.
with practice anyone can achieve that state, but any form is relaxing.
go on try it, and keep going.
Such a state of relaxation 🍸it’s an illusion..... now that’s what I’m talking about . I personal am no way near that level, but that’s just it,I now it’s there that place space what ever you want to call it . And I am not stopping till I’ve fond it😇
I do both, at home and in a class, get yourself a descent meditation CD on line and go from there. I did find doing a class when I first started helped me learn, then once you have the basics its easier for you to do it at home. Make sure though its in a relaxing place where you are not going to be disturbed for how long you are going to practice. I'm quite lucky I have a spare bedroom where I can practice my yoga and meditation.
I love meditation and it has helped my recovery after having a SAH in March 2015. It really clears the mind and body and makes me feel focused!
I am a lapsed meditator but found it useful for chronic pain (non BI related). I took the Mindfulness Based Stress Relief (MBSR) a few years back. There are various, free online guided meditations to try.
Good one Patrick. I found after I had my accident that mindfulness helped, I got the Headway app on my phone. the counting the breaths bit helped. I also like this simple site for one minute meditation just-a-minute.org/
Breathing regulates the vagus nerve which is the motorway connecting brain to gut. By meditating we facilitate healing. If brain fog, do not worry about meditating as it will just frustrate with the lack of focus you have. Just count your breaths and if possible sit near or under trees while you do it : )
Pat-rick I'm glad you are sharing. And it sounds like you have progressed with it, noticed the progress and are excited enough to want to share That is simply wonderful.
If you wanted to intentionally run your nervous system, change your neurochemistry, a good book is "Get the Life you Want" by Richard Bandler. Reviews will tell if it is for you. Costs £3.99 on Kindle.
Namaste (I honour the spirit in you). Peace love light Pat-rick x Best.
Hi there, try giving a gentle yoga class a go while doing the breathing. I have found that both help me, they were recommended by MIND to help me deal with my headaches and anxiety.
There are a couple of brilliant mindfulness courses for free on futurelearn website that are run by monash university. I have done them both a few times. The first one starts again in October. I have found mindfulness and meditation excellent. When I feel better it lapses and I end up back at square one. I am trying my best to keep it going all the time.
I highly recommend meditation! Glad you’ve discovered it I do it when I get chance... I have the app ‘calm’ on my phone so it’s at hand most the time as I usually need help to shut off!
I would like to try but not sure how to get started and I don't really want to go to a group if I'm honest. Any tips that might help please?
I use a free app called Insight Timer which has hundreds of different meditations, of different types, and have found it really useful.
