Bronch advice please!
Evening friends, Well Ive had an amazing run with no need for ABs for the last four years. But I guess it couldnt last for ever. After some nasty laryngospasm and inflammation which wouldn't resolve, I started a course of pred on Saturday and seemed to be responding, but it's gone south today and

Asthma and colds
When I get a cold my peak flow can fall to levels which normally my asthma plan would say to start ringing the gp about. 50 to 60 percent of my max for several days. Issues with walking etc. However I tend to feel, that I am chilled on the subject. My peak flow is low but stable. I can function, just

LCHF/Keto junk food
Hi all. How's everyone doing? Not normally one for any processed food at all, I have been uncharacteristically buying some keto "junk food" recently. This (ridiculously expensive!!) loaf of keto bread, made mainly of almonds and eggs, is actually really good, and very low carb at 3.5g per 100g.

An honest update. I appreciate your support.
I have less anxiety but my
mood
is very
low
, perhaps even lower than before (?). And I can't distinguish wether it's the meds or my difficult life circumstances that are making me feel like I'm slowly drowning in the ocean. I have no motivation to go out and meet people.

Chest infection confusion
Hey everyone. So this has happened twice now with similar sets of symptoms. Recent symptoms: Basically severely reduced peak flow (150 during the attacks, max is 470, about 250/280 now, so I'm well into amber still), been in and out of hospital the last few days with asthma attacks, increased work

Prednisolone advice
Hallo I've got moderate asthma and have got quite a nasty chest infection. Today a GP prescribed some antibiotics and Prednisolone. I am struggling with my peak flow at the moment. Usually can manage 350 but at the moment struggling between 250 and 300( female). Accept I probably do need steroids but

Asthma and Covid Experiences Please!
Hi, so after feeling pretty rubbish yesterday with a sore throat, spiking temp and barking sounding cough, today I have tested positive for Covid on a lateral flow after avoiding the damn thing for 3 years! I have asthma, so am understandably worrying! I am waiting for a call back from GPs as my peak

My wife of 40 years and APS
I strongly believe in doing everything to avoid inflammation generally. Stop all processed foods, no seed oils and restrict or complete avoid grains (wheat, rice, corn etc) and go on a low carbohydrate diet. We all need to have a healthy glycocalyx which is the slimy lining of our blood vessels. look

Help with depression
My
mood
is so
low
, I've lost my enthusiasm and joy in doing things, I feel so anxious that when I go out, I feel panicked and get all the awful symptoms of panic. Has anyone got any good coping mechanisms for depression and anxiety? I would be really grateful for some guidance?

Change to Thyroid Tests after 40 years of the same dose of Throxine
I am having a battle with my GP. Diagnosed with underactive thyroid when I was 26 and I am now 70 and for past 40 years have been on 150 thyroxine which worked perfectly for me. In April 21 I got diagnosed with PMR and put on 15 mg of steroids. I eat a low carb diet, take Vit D and have done a slow transition

What is Normal
I am on fostair 100 under the mart regime. Most weeks I get one major asthma attack taking me down to approx 50 percent of my peak flow, cannot walk or talk, and the rest of the week more minor attacks daily. The major attacks are a little scary for me, and very scary for my wife. Under the mart regime

Newbie Hypothyroid - looking for advice please
Hi I was diagnosed low thyroid in August and given 25mcg levothyroxin. I felt a bit better after taking it. I am a self employed single parent with two disabled children. I have not been able to work very much for over eight months now and the house and garden are in a horrendous state. Nothing

Chest soreness
Hi Everyone, I hope you are all doing ok out there. I've had a tickly, slightly irritated upper airway for the past week and went for a jog on Monday, just slow, and since then my chest had been quite tight and is sore. I was wondering whether anyone has any tips on how to deal both mentally and physically

Great results this week
I was really pleased with the results of my annual Senior Checkup this past week. After a long lapse during Covid and lockdown, eating cakes and biscuits etc and obviously putting on weight, I went back to the LCHF lifestyle a few months ago and not only have I lost over a stone in weight (18 lbs)
