T3 update for @relentless
Hidden this is for you, but all welcome thanks for remembering, after a few weeks switching from Teva to Aristo T4 125mcg I had a Roseway appointment and discussed a trial with the pharmacist prescriber. I now have their compounded lactose free capsules. The 5mcg daily prescription and 12 week

Alternatives to sugar
Hello, as some of you know from my DD posts, I've recently cut out added sugar in my diet. I do still eat things with natural sugar like fruit, but as I also follow a low carb diet they tend to be berries, which are lower in sugar anyway.Recently I've been wondering what to use instead of chocolate for

am I asthmatic
hi all. I am experiencing shortness of breath after exercise more than usual. Waking up during the night feeling like I can’t get enough air into my lungs. I do a peak flow when I feel like this.. and my peak flow is 800! Top of the charts. I feel like this every summer. Is this asthma symptom? I also

Asthma and heat, plus Stu's padding
Just done w5, r2, yet again, same route along canal (fairly flat). Less distance this time, but heat affecting asthma, peak flow rate down from about 700 on a good day to just about 500 today, so with breathing capacity reduced, I don't mind running a bit slower and less distance, at least I made the

Is a Ketogenic diet actually beneficial for Kidneys
In the same way that eating eggs doesn't cause cholesterol is controlling your blood sugar, rather than a low protein diet key to reversing kidney damage? Ken Berry thinks so. Thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QadlpylF-tw

However I get

a lot of the time. Fear of dying, fear of complications and just fear in general. I’m scared all the time. I had no match in my family except my sister who couldn’t donate due to having health issues herself.

Experiences of Dienogest/Zalkya?
I can deal with having
low
mood
, but I am worried about hair falling out or vomiting (I have a thing about being sick)! Just wondering peoples experiences of this medication? Especially if the mini pill wasn’t working for you?

Really need some reassurance and advice
I’ve hardly moved off the the sofa this weekend, my
mood
is so
low
, have a constant feeling of something bad happening to me. Keep checking my heart rate (it’s only slightly elevated). I feel really down & I don’t know what to do I haven’t taken any carbimazole yet - scared to do that as well.

Weaning off steroids causing mood changes?
I am going through a very long period of feeling over emotional, experiencing
low
mood
and just generally struggling with regulating my emotions. I read that steroids regulates hormones (please correct me if I'm wrong!)

I am still feeling very

in my

and my euphoria in finding my new Rheumie who happens to be a professor has somewhat fizzled out since the X-ray saga. Your feedback would be much appreciated.

Low Carb, High Fat - Well That Didn't Work Did It!
Many of you will know that I have been a Type 1 diabetic since the 1960s. Besides this site I keep a watching brief on a few diabetes sites. One thing being very much pushed is a low carb, high fat (LCHF) diet. Claims include that it achieves better diabetic ciontrol and despite being high in saturated

Update on LDN
A while back I posted that I would be trying low-dose naltrexone and would report the results. Here is an update after one month of LDN. I began taking 1.1mg of LDN in addition to my regular dose of prednisone. I had just tapered slowly to 12 1/2mg, taking 5mg at 2 AM. After a week I noticed no effect
