Hidden this is for you, but all welcome

thanks for remembering, after a few weeks switching from Teva to Aristo T4 125mcg I had a Roseway appointment and discussed a trial with the pharmacist prescriber.

I now have their compounded lactose free capsules. The 5mcg daily prescription and 12 week’s supply cost £75.00.

Initially I had no buzz, no whoosh, heart rate varied but no more than on sugar etc

Weeks 5 and 6 now, I can do so much more, face has changed, mental health is transformed.

I can still over do it and by bedtime I’m whacked, still have a bit of PEM so need to consider the ‘feeling amazing’ and trying to do too much too soon but when I eat right I sleep through the night. I managed a work out on Sunday, yoga Monday, college open day and parents evening in the same week. I’ve noticed the Dr Bavind Williams observation that if I eat sugars, I get an adrenaline rush with the insulin and am left exhausted. No sugar, no rush, steady energy. So I think from this I’ve dodged the adrenals bullet, seems my issues were just thyroid.

Weight hasn’t changed much, I’ve doubled down on low carb (not no carb) low fodmap paleo. It seems to be working very slowly which is a good thing, no one wants fast weight loss. I was 66kg at diagnosis, 72 on 50mcg T4, 66 on 125mcg T4 and now 65 with 5 weeks on 5mcg T3. Normal for me pre diagnosis was about 62kg skinny for me (a decade ago) when I was running 12k : times a week and working out at a kick boxing gym twice a week) was 58kg …that may be unrealistic 🤣

I’ll test in a few more weeks and report back, I suspect if I lose much more or improve absorption more I’ll need to drop to 100mcg Aristo T4.

thanks again for asking, sending my best.

This is the most excellent news 💃🤸‍♀️🥳 good to hear that Roseway is a viable option 🙏

Isn’t it 🦋 fingers crossed their blood test interpretation for repeat prescriptions works in my favour (assuming I’m not overmedicated by then 🤷🏽‍♀️). If that works I’ll try NHS route. 🌱

I would revel in your new found return to life and gather your evidence as the NHS route is pretty darned soul destroying, but necessary to further our cause.... Ex kick boxer hey... gangsters moll for sure 🤣🤣

Some days are better than others. Kind of you to ask, thank you. Today, I started drinking coconut water for potassium and began taking an extra 100mg of thiamine hcl. I felt the benefits hours later and there maybe something in this combo that was soothing to my system.
