TBI in 2018. recovering well, but mood up snd down. happy with my new TBI life one minute, in tears the next at my loss of independence and old life. I'm on anti-depressants, wouldn't say i'm depressed, just low in mood one minute then happpy with life the next. is that normal?

yes it was very normal to me to have extreme mood swings ,once I had moved on from mainly angry and confusion/disbelief.. I’m not the best with words but I wouldn’t want to repeat the last two years 😁sue

thanks for the re-assurance. will try and control my mood swings by looking at my 'table of happiness more- a list of before and after things that concludes life is actually better post TBI (except forloss ofindependence- driving) thanks for your perspective

tbi has put you on a different path.. by embracing the positive does help you deal with the negative . Maybe the negative will sink into the background as time goes on ..

Thanks for your reply. I do try to stay positive, but get overwhelmed with the trauma of it all sometimes. Going to ask for counselling
