Two Months Post LDR Brachytherapy Update
It's been a while since we've posted here, but I'd like to update this forum of hubby's progress. So far he's in great spirit and doing good and even managed to work from home thanks to a supporting employer which has made a huge difference given the amount of time my husband has to use the restroom.

Switching from Metavive II to T4/T3?
Hi all. Thank you to this group for all the help and advice that you give us. This morning I had an endocrinologist appointment and it went so well. Essentially the endocrinologist I saw agreed that I have issues converting T4 to T3 and levothyroxine alone was keeping my THS and FT4 levels at optimum

More questions about low dose of Pred and Adrenal Insufficiency
Hi, I read with interest the explanations of Adrenal Insufficiency recently. Has anyone an explanation for my problem? I have been on Prednisolone for over 3 years since PMR was diagnosed in July 2015. My highest dose was 15mg . I have suffered "flares" as I reduced, well at least the GP diagnosed flares

So another quick update. Started on 15mg Pred for 2 days ..
So another quick update. Started on 15mg Pred for 2 days taken around 7am with little change to pain and morning stiffness, upper and to 20mg for the past 5 days and have finally found relief. I have taken the single dose at around 3am when I woke in the last 3 days. I have no difficulty getting out

Lancet study on carbs: a critique
That's somewhere between two and four times the amount eaten on a low-carb
diet
. The study therefore tells us nothing concrete about
LCHF
. I would love to see one of the study authors follow up on this here; in particular, I'd like to know what happened to the death stats.

Gall bladder removal
I’ve managed my gallbladder condition for over 5 years but want to have it removed with offending stones. Can anybody tell me about their experiences, pre and post removal. I’m in very low fat diet but experience gall bladder episodes one or twice a year, when I indulge but not in the sense of a normal

Subclinical hypothyroidism treatment in pregnancy- bad reaction to levothyroxine
I would be very grateful for any advice anyone can provide. I have been advised by specialists in fertility & miscarriage that I should be treated with levothyroxine to obtain a healthy pregnancy. It’s a long convoluted story but this is based on 2 miscarriages, a complicated pregnancy, tsh levels

Have decided must lose weight and have done jogging in the past which I did lose weight. My wife has me on a high protein low carb meal plan and we are trying to avoid processed food, see if that works? Purchased arm band for phone so I could listen to instructions and went for W1R1 on 27/8 which was

Beef Broccoli and Mixed Vegetables Picture: Dinner Out 🍴🥘🍽
This was my dinner out tonight. It was with mixed vegetables on the side with beef and broccoli. This is a very low carb meal (10 grams total). Very good.

This Week's Update: DEXCOM
So, after the week with the old sensor working for mostly the entire time while I was on my vacation, I have to say that it was really great. There were a few hiccups, but those got taken care of when it was necessary. No complaints. Back at home and on the vacation, I've been eating a lot of low carb

Diabetes: don't even think about trying to fix it
As many of you low-carb freaks know, it's not all about weight loss: there's a steadily-increasing mountain of research on diabetes and heart disease that points the finger of blame at excessive carbohydrate intake. There are, of course, plenty of detractors who insist that this can't possibly be true

Underactive thyroid and Gluten free
Hi I have been diagnosed with underactive thyroid. I have no idea what this means and was given no explanation from GP except the clinical one he read from the screen twice. I’m now reading things from the internet and getting in a right muddle. One thing I would like to know is ‘What is the connection
