How to avoid diet fatigue
Hey all. Just wondering if you all had any tips on how to keep going in the long term. I find eating nice foods to be the easy part. What I find really tiresome is (1) logging foods on MFP all the time (2) thinking about what to eat rather than just eating (3) shopping all the time! I used to rely on

Males : Is your frequency of urination is high? It could be BPH !
If you urinate frequently and you visit your Doctor for consultation and if your Doctor has prescribed Dutas T after some tests, you seem to have enlarged Prostate which is also known as BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) . Nothing to worry , every male is going to have one day or other with age -

Too much gluten while pregnant linked to increased diabetes risk for baby
Strictly speaking, off-topic, as it is focussed on diabetes. However, as most will be aware, discussion of gluten is common and likely relevant to thyroid issues. I have posted the Guardian article link first as it is the most accessible. Then a link to the BMJ editorial and, finally, to the actual

Thyroid test results
I’ve just received my results from Medichecks and here they are. I am not on Levothyroxine , and haven’t been for two years. I follow a Gluten free diet which seems to have helped stabilise/lower my antibodies. I’m happy to go back on Levo if it’ll help lower my TSH and hopefully help with energy

Am I ready to trial T3? Latest Bloods
I also tidied up my gluten free, processed food free,
LCHF
diet
. My temperature ranges from 36.1 to 36.9 and pulse is in the 60s. BP 3 weeks ago was 124/66. My symptoms have improved to the extent that I am now out of bed and coping with paced simple household tasks.

Looking for aerobics in Chester
Hi all! I am busy mum of two kids. Used to be very skinny before child birth. Now I am 20kgs heavier than my original weight. Have tried many different diets and exercises somehow can’t manage to keep the weight off. Find the gym boring and low carb diets non sustainable. Recently had banding of haemorrhoids

Thank you everyone. I made it! I did some yoga and swam in the sea!
Dear fellow GCA pals, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone on this forum who has helped me since my diagnosis on 13th August. My world spun 360 degrees but its slowly coming upright again. On 1st Sept I managed to get away on holiday! As a solo traveller I usually go on a yoga break

Both T1's and T2's can benefit from LCHF
It is a proven fact that T2's get benefitted by LCHF. The article below says that even T1's can also get benefitted by LCHF. The article says : (1) In view of the recent findings that the saturated fat and cholesterol has no role in increasing risk of heart disease. (2) Eating too much carbo with less

The 6 Best Sweeteners on a Low-Carb Keto Diet (And 6 to Avoid)
Following a ketogenic diet involves cutting back on high-carb foods like starches, desserts and processed snacks. This is essential to reaching a metabolic state called ketosis, which causes your body to begin breaking down fat stores instead of carbs to produce energy. Ketosis also requires reducing

LCHF ( need not be Keto) more effective
With reference to my previous post here is the article from American journal of clinical nutrition which says the LCHF ( may not be a strictly Keto) is more effective. https://academic.oup.com/ajcn/article/83/5/1055/4649481

Wedding Weekend and DEXCOM
This weekend, I had gone to a friend's wedding. The wedding was last night (6 pm). That meant, the dinner was going to be really late (later than normal for me). The wedding was lovely and by the time we all got food, it was almost 7:30 or 8 pm. Extremely later and had to delay my shot for quite

Weight Loss and CBD Oil
I’ve tried samples of CBD oil and paste previously so after researching its benefits and suffering with constant migraines and cuticle allodynia I decided to vape CBD oil as it was the most effective way to get it into the blood stream and to the brain other than IV. I’ve been vaping CBD Oil now for

Lactose free diet
Hi. I wrote about going away on holiday over a week ago..I'm back and had a great time. Once again the food was a problem - but this time, I managed my gluten free diet well surprisingly.😁 But, my lactose free diet was difficult. So much in the restaurant at the hotel wasn't lactose free. Same when
