I have been following you all since about Christmas. I am a 53 year old lady and was diagnosed with RD when I was 25, it was initially treated as Lupus. I have had all the usual ups and downs, a hip replacement at 36 and a brain anyuersm (unrelated) at 38. I have taken great joy and comfort in reading

Post TKR
Hi All just to keep you all abreast of my condition. I had a TKR on October 16 2017. Surgery went well and knee is functioning as predicted. My problem is that my blood test known as D-Dimer has so far not come down to normal as it was prior to my surgery. I stopped taking Inbrutinib (after being on

Bruised but not dented
Hi my MPN friends, just thought I would let you see one of many bruises from a silly accident I had at the weekend. Climbed onto a garden bench to try to see which one of my cats was having a dust up with female cat next door, to only come too on the ground where I had face planted the patio, must of

It has been impossibly hard
My husband is here 24/7 hating me, reminding me that I better get a border and a job as I am losing the house etc.. He has been starving us. He says we have no money and must sell books. He makes $82,000 but HIS lawyer is expensive. He calls her 'our 'lawyer. I don't know if anyone recalls but

Following up on my constant pain after tkr.
I've just received a letter from my consultant from wrightington hospital regarding my ongoing severe pain after tkr 18 months ago. It seems it's highly unlikely that it's down to the allergic reaction to the nickel in the cobalt. Even though I AM allergic to nickel. It's more likely as it's complex

Weaning off Ropinerole
I will never take ropinerole again. I weaned my self from it a few years ago and it was difficult. I restarted it with recurring RLS. I was suffering Augmentation earlier and earlier in the day as early as noon and early afternoon if I sat or would lie down to watch TV. I don't like being reliant on

Hip/Knee replacements and polymyalgia
A retired doctor proposed to me that my double knee replacements had put too much strain on my immune system which could have contributed to me having polymyalgia 2 years later. Itās an interesting thought and thought I would share. š¤

Mild lymphodema and lipodermotosclerosis
I was diagnosed with Lipodermatosclorosis and mild lymphdema several years back. All the doctors I had seen previously imidiately said it was a vascular problem. I had every test known to man and never had anything wrong with my veins. I also have severe osteo arthritis. In 2000 I had a hysterectomy

Travel Insurance
Does anyone have any recomendations on where to get travel insurance from ? I always used to get it through my bank but they won't insure me anymore because of my RA, I've also not long ago had knee replacement surgery so this may have gone against me too.

WHEN LIFE DECIDES TO POOP ON YOU...
My husband had his second total knee replacement 4 weeks ago. The surgery was very successful, but his rehab appears to be much harder for him than it was last year when he had the other knee done. He has exceeded the goals set by the surgeon's protocol, but the knee he is forced to rely on now is
