How to improve your blood pressure
I have recently fallen in love. With capillaries. In his brilliant book, ‘The Secret Language of Cells’, Dr John Leif, physician and neuroscientist, dedicates a whole chapter to them, calling these tiny vessels, ‘brain centres’ of tissue development. With a yogic lens, this speaks to the body intelligence

I had a kidney transplant nearly 3 years ago. I would like to treat my hair to a wash-in dye, the type that washes after about 6 weeks but I'm not sure this will be OK due to the anti rejection drugs I'm taking. Any advise would be welcome

My husband had kidney transplant about 3 months ago. Wanted to reach out to you if you had an excessive urination , frequency , urgency and incontinence up to this time. It seems like he urinates most at night I would say what he had drunk during the day ..

Kidney transplant assessment
Hi I have stage 5 failure. My GFR IS 10. I had my first kidney transplant in May 1995. This will be my second. I am meeting the transplant surgeon, nephrologist and anaesthetist this Wednesday. They will let me know if I am suitable to go back on the transplant list. I am really really nervous and scared

de novo metastatic prostate cancer
hello, I was diagnosed in march with a very aggressive and advanced case, with many skeletal lesions - high volume/high risk. I’ve been on degarelix/Firmagon and Abiraterone for the past 3.5 months and it seems to be working well - just had my 3 month scans. And the terrible fatigue is under control

Deuterium Depleted Water
OK guys, I've been looking at this for a while and thought I'd condense it down and share it with you guys.I'm really not interested in arguments with people. If you don't agree, get yourself a cup of coffee, chill out and move on. Water his made of hydrogen and oxygen. Deuterium is a hydrogen isotope

Is HE always inevitable with severe chronic liver disease?
My daughter has been told there is nothing more the doctors can do for her multiple hepatic adenomas. Transplant is not an option, due to serious underlying health conditions and also total lack of fitness . She has at least 15 of these tumours taking over her liver now. She has had a resection last

Dialysis and transplant.
I want to tell everyone my experience, with dialysis and trying to be put transplant list. The experiences I have had at have been good and bad. The good is when I no cramps and good blood pressure. The is when the total opposite. This has happened several times. I would say be your own advocate.

er scare
yesterday I had my worst “episode” ever—after an uneventful start to my day, I suddenly felt like I was going to collapse. Couldn’t breathe, could barely talk, weak, too weak to stand. My husband took me to er where my bp was very high (of course); spent the day. Long story short: not one thing wrong

If you get sick...cold, flu, Covid...what did you do?
I'm just over 9 months kidney transplant from a living donor. I've felt great but I do worry, since it is cold and flu season, about getting sick. Probably my biggest worry at this point. I try to wear masks when I am out and take all precautions. I just wondered though if I should get sick what are

Choosing your own in-center doctor?
Hello, everyone! My mom has been at her new dialysis center for about three months, and the doctor and NP assigned to her are pretty terrible. We noticed that a former patient had their own nephrologist who came to the center to go over lab results and handle any dialysis-related issues. That patient

D Mannose
Hello everyone Just wondered if anyone here has used D Mannose tablets to manage recurrent urinary tract infections and if so with what success? I’ve had this problem for a few years now and the Urologist suggested daily low dose antibiotics which I want to avoid. Despite trying all of the self
