Acid reflux and how I cured myself!
I was looking at an old post on the subject on this site and thought this may be useful as every second person I meet says they are on some sort of Medication, prescribed or not. The number of ads for indigestion and acid reflux products is staggering and it is as if we are supposed to accept this

Low stomach acid
I have been having pain under my ribs and constant burping for about six months now. Countless trips to the Doctors along with my own Google research, I was finally tested for B12. I was deficient and put on 6 loading doses in 2 weeks with follow up boosters every 3 months for a year. I had a test for

Is Gabapentin making my teeth yellow?
Hi folks, I have a chronic back problem and for that I take Gabapentin 500mg x 4 daily and Co-codamol 30/500 x 4 daily. I also take Omeprazole, Atorvastatin, Nebivolol and Rivaroxaban, the last two being for an abnormal heart rhythm. Just recently I have noticed that my teeth have become rather yellow

Yo-yo symptoms
Hi all, I had an Endoscopy at the end of January and was told that I had excess Stomach Acid, which was travelling up my Esophasgus and causing Chest pains. I was given Omeprazole, which eased the symptoms for two weeks. They now no longer seem to work and I am in constant stomach pain (feels like trapped

Sorry to waffle again ladies / Medication
I’ve not been well for months but as us women do we keep going, however the last 4/5 wks I’ve been floored literally can’t do anything at speed all l want to do is just sleep. I think my GP is fed up with me but she is also pushing to get me seen by endometriosis specialist/gynaecologist. In between

One week post-ablation and still digestive problems
Hi all. Had my first ablation a week ago today (under Prof O'Neill at St Thomas in London) and all seemed to go well. Have only had one minor flutter and otherwise in NSR throughout and certainly less aware of my heart than I was pre-procedure. Fingers crossed that continues. My only real side effect

I’m kind of sick and tired (literally lol) of being in constant pain, I really want to get back to work and I’m considering taking hemp seed oil capsules (from Amazon) however before ordering I want to know if anyone else has had any benefits, side-effects or noticed any interactions with their medications

1st Rheumatologist appointment and instructions etc.
After two and a half years with PMR, my new GP referred me to a rheumy, to get a second opinion she said. I had the appointment last Thursday and was told by the rheumy that it was because I wasn't decreasing my pred. fast enough. I have been on 5mg since just before Christmas as I had quite a bit of

Would you ask to be referred to gastro/get a second opinion?
Hi all, I have been suffering for about 25 years (I am only 30) with bowel issues. I have been to GPs numerous times and I'm pretty much always fobbed off. Every day for most of my life I suffer with stomach pain/cramps, bloating, nausea/vomiting and acid reflux/heartburn. None of my symptoms are ever

Refused Esomeprazole by GP?
My GP says she is unable to prescribe Esomeprazole as its too expensive according to the NICE guidelines. That's even though the gastro consultant recommended it! (He says he's not allowed to prescribe these medications - its up to the GP!) This medication is supposed to be good especially when others

Could this be sibo?
For 2 years I've had unexplained weekly bouts of diarreah and cramps, first it started monthly, then fortnightly then weekly... basically got worse. I was on omeprazole for 3 years and about 2 years into it I noticed the stomach problems. Is it possible it's sibo caused by long term use of omeprazole
