I have just had a few episodes of tachycardia but also bradycardia high and low pulse rate . I was admitted to hospital and prescribed emconcor cor half tablet Omeprazole and aspirin . I hate taking tablets and would precede a natural herb to help with this . I am wearing the Apple Watch and it gives

Confused about Thyroid and IBS tablets??
Ok so not sure if this should be posted on Thyroid or IBS page but I'll start here and go from there as I know they can go hand in hand. I have been taking Levothyroxine since 2001 ish and also been treating IBS flare ups on and off for nearly as many years! At present I'm taking -100 Levothyroxin.

Help needed to understand my Medicheck results.
I need help to understand my results please. I've been on thyroid meds for more than 15 years (I'm in my late 60's) and for about 8 years now have been fairly steady on 150mcg levo T4 and 20mcg T3, although I still get a lot of hypo symptoms at times - very cold and can't get warm when the weather gets

Broken Teeth
I've been taking Omeprazole/Esomeprazole every day for nearly five years now. It is commonly known that there are side effects associated with long term use, one of which is Osteoporosis, or the softening of bones. I am now 50 years old and have always had a strong and healthy set of teeth. However

Gabapentin stomach issues
Hi been on gabapentin (for migraine and RLS) 300mg (in the evening) a few days, I had gastritis (I think) a month ago and already I can feel the pain and discomfort coming back in my stomach and into my back. It's rather dissapointing as the gastritis is what triggered everything to flare up in the first

To GP today to ask for treatment as per guidelines, questions about a few results & symptoms...?
Thank you for the really helpful info, links and advice in replies to my previous post a couple of weeks back. I had already read quite a bit about B12 before/after having it found, but now have read and understand lots more (and don't understand some, and some scares me!), and so feel more equipped

Hello
Hi everyone, I have posted on this forum a couple of times and spent many hours reading through the posts. I’m struggling at the moment with my heart and find myself taking great comfort from the information and advice given here and would like to be more involved than just lurking in the shadows 😊

Methotrexate injections versus tablets
Hello I’m new here having had a diagnosis of inflammatory arthritis in December. I had campylobacter food poisoning 18months ago which left me with reactive arthritis. Unfortunately it decided to stay with me and now I’ve a formal diagnosis. This has been hard to get my head around, still doing battle

Treatment options -pros and cons
Hi everyone. Sorry I’ve not been on much again lately - it feels like I’m only ever here asking for help rather than giving it but unfortunately life just seems to keep getting in the way and I just run out of energy I’m afraid. Sooo - apologies in advance as this is a long one. I had an appointment

Help please...
Hello, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I need help. The past 6 years or since I was like 12, I'm 18 now. I have been having trouble with eating. I did not tell my parents about it until I was like 15 because I was Self conscious about my body and my weight. Since I told them,

Calcium supplementation
Hi - I'm finally on an introductory dose of Levothyroxine as I have Hashis, and after a few weeks am starting to see some improvement. I supplement with methylated B12 and folate, vitamin D, selenium and iron (Floravital and an oral spray). My absorption is poor probably due to the Hashis but I'm also

Cholesterol (natural help?)
Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to this site, but keen to ask a very old question, and I don't want to frighten my GP; Does ACV (apple cider vinegar) really help reduce cholesterol, and if so, would it clash regrettably with omeprazole as a daily intake? I have spent much time on the 'net and not managed

Pericarditis...does it ever go??
Hi, I got diagnosed with pericarditis last June after collapsing with chest pain and being admitted to hospital. I had recently had a stressful separation from my husband and had a kidney infection which they think could have caused it. Started on colchicine 3x daily and ibuprofen with omeprazole. I

Nadalol beta blocker and RLS
Hi Having a bad time of it had gastriris and was put on omeprazole which i think affects RLs. Saw a cardiologist for a congenital heart arythmia and im now on nadalol beta blocker since Tues and despite the horrible side effects i reckon its causing a nerve surge that is giving me involuntary leg jerks

Well well well!!
Had my follow up endoscopy on Tuesday. A very traumatic experience. It only took 5/10 minutes on previous ones but this took half an hour while 12 biopsies were taken from my Barrett’s oesophagus. During this endoscopy a hiatus hernia was noted. Probably the cause of my acid reflux and subsequent problems
