Methotrexate and omeprazole
I have just read that Methotrexate should not be taken along with PPI's. Is this correct? I take both and I think a lot of you here do, so is this information to be taken seriously?

Acid reflux
Any help would be great I am suffering from acid reflux have terrible pains in my chest and stomach when I take aspirin! I am on esomeprazole and ranitidine at night doesn’t help. I have been changed to clopidogrel from ticagrelor, can you come off aspirin if you are clopidogrel? Thanks

Coated/uncoated advice
Have been on 15mg Prednisolone for past 5 weeks - firstly uncoated with Omeprazole then because of problems with the PPI switched to coated. Because of delayed timing with these I then reverted back to uncoated taken with thick Greek yoghurt to protect my stomach. The Prednisolone worked fine except

Antacids
Hi Do you know if Esomeprazole is too strong and will affect the other tablets’ absorption? I changed to this from Lansoprazole yesterday after awful indigestion and ended up calling 999 last night cos of relentless spasms. Thanks 😞.

I've has ibs-a since I was 14 and as I've gotten older my symptoms have changed drastically and worsened considerably. I'm getting a lot of internal rectal pain and swelling which I thought was piles so tried otc creams but they don't do anything to help. On my last visit to my gp he prescribed scheriproct

Feeling a bit sorry for myself 🙁
I was diagnosed with ET triple negative in Dec last year, follow up bloods to confirm in Feb. My consultant wrote to the gp to increase my omeprazole (previous stomach ulcer) and put me on baby aspirin as I'm not yet in a high risk group. I've basically been ill ever since. I'm getting horrific headaches

Best time to take Prednisolone to lessen Nausea
Im getting a lot of Nausea but taking Methotrexate as well as Prednisolone Omeprazole and Statins. Is there a better time to take the steroids rather than early mornings. On 15mg Prednisolone at present reducing gradually.

Tips on getting body to rest?
Hello all! So, the past week pretty much hasn’t been the prettiest for me. Went through horrible Tramadol withdrawal over the entire bank holiday weekend (lived off toast and minimal water thanks to nausea etc) and ended up going to the doctors on Tuesday afternoon after spending the morning at work

Inhalers and reflux
Hello everyone. I take Fostair NEXThaler and the occasional puff of Ventolin for bronchiectasis and asthma. More recently I've started getting reflux, for which I've been given Omeprazole. I consider myself to be a fairly fit 50-something; I'm quite slim and work out regularly, so I was a little annoyed

How do you cope with GERD attacks and gall bladder pain and what on earth do you eat?!
When originally diagnosed with a hiatus Hernia and GERD (don't even remeber being diagnosed with gall stones as they weren't causing any problems) the painful attacks used to be few and far between and were just that...painful. Fast forward a few years, attacks are generally hours of pain, sweating

I was all prepared for yesterday run.. leggings etc put out ready the night before, headphones charged, phone charged, inhalers at the ready... and then I woke up with the worst headache ever and heartburn. I quite often get the two together and this was one of the worst bouts I’ve had. I drank plenty

Mixing PPI and SSRI?
Hi all, I've had a few questions recently and now have another one: has anybody mixed both omeprazole and sertraline and, if so, did you experience any side effects? I ask as I started sertraline 4 days ago, after 3 days I discovered I was shivery, had shakes and was clenching my jaw a lot. As of this

Omeprazole
I have been taking this drug for many years since I was diagnosed with oesophagitis. To be honest I thought it was an absolute miracle drug as I was able to eat and drink anything without the fear of developing painful heartburn/acid reflux. My GP told me at the time that this is one of the safest drugs

Omeprazole chest pain
I have been taking omeprazole for about 6 months. Recently I started having minor chest pain. Uncomfortable but not bad. Wakes me up at night and have it sometimes during the day. Went off omeprazole 10 days ago and no longer have the pain. But the GERD is back. Should I try one of the other meds for

Tapering following new PMR diagnosis
Hi, so glad I found this wonderful forum, I've learned so much in the past 2 weeks. My question concerns tapering and levels of pain that can be "ignored". I am 70 years old and until the middle of March was a fit walker, gardener and could still reach to cut my own toenails. I was lucky enough to

Does changing brand of PPI matter?
Hi, so I'm currently on omeprazole for reflux/gastro problems and I've been on a generic brand for some time. Recently, the pharmacy I use prescribee a different brand, a Spanish name that I cant quite recall but they're a capsule, rather than a pill. Would this make a difference, as I know it's often
