Hi

Do you know if Esomeprazole is too strong and will affect the other tablets’ absorption? I changed to this from Lansoprazole yesterday after awful indigestion and ended up calling 999 last night cos of relentless spasms. Thanks 😞.

I take esomeprazole because I can’t tolerate lanzoprazole. The only other medication it affects is my antihistamine which I take at least 2 hours after. You don’t say why you think it’s too strong. I only take 20 mg once a day.

Sorry I meant because yesterday, after I took it instead of Lansoprazole, I had spasms, almost as if my anti spasms meds didn’t work if you see what I mean?

It’s not an instant remedy though. I find gaviscon liquid is better for instant relief.

👍I don’t think they are stronger just different. Unless the dose was higher of course.

No, actually lower than the Lansoprazole. Thanks that’s helped 😊
