Prescribed Statin

I had my review with doctor today and have been given yet another tablet to take.

At present I am taking Rivaroxaban Omeprazole, Furosemide, Digoxin, Candersartan, Bisprolol 10mg and Accrete D3. I have now been given Atorvastin.

Can anyone advise when is best to take Statin and is anyone else on this combination of drugs. I have been on these meds for almost 2 years since AF was diagnosed. Some days I am so washed out that I cannot move out of the chair.

Until I had AF I was an active 63 year old working full time. Now, on my bad days, can hardly push the Hoover around.

Hi Maisie I take mine in the evening as that’s when my husband takes his as he is on simvastatin which has to be taken at night.

I notice that in leaflet that comes with artovastatin it says it can be taken at anytime.

I am on almost the same tabs. The digoxin was stopped. On bisoprolol candesarton dabigatran frusemide omeprazole atorvastatin and amiodarone. My atorvastatin says to take at night. I've had af since August. Still working push my self. At home I do a bit but make sure I rest. Good luck x

I am on the same statin, I always take mine the last thing at night after brushing my teeth - it’s a routine thing 😬😊

Hi Maisie,

I had to stop the rivaoxiban as it gave me one of the 1 in 10 side effects. Too personal to state here.

Now on apixaban which is 2 doses a day along with a change of BP med. so far so good but it was at least 2 months before the side effect kicked in watch this space.

Hi Grinny

You kindly replied to my post 2 months ago regarding the meds that I am taking. At the time I was experiencing the usual side effects but recently have had symptoms that I haven't experienced before. Rivaroxaban seems to be my problem but not sure if you had same symptoms.
