Tocilizumab
Hi. Has anyone had Tocilizumab injections for pmr? I've been looking at recent research which seems to suggest favourable outcomes for pmr sufferers who have problems tapering prednisolone.

Life insurance ??
Good afternoon, lovely sunny Sunday here in Norfolk? 🌞So my partner and I have finally moved, but I'm struggling with getting anyone to accept me for life insurance to cover my mortgage as I have RA and have had lung surgery?.... Has anyone else had this happen, or know of any companies that would provide

I had a great first visit with my rheumatologist this week. She was validating and knowledgeable and respectful. She is also pretty confident I have RA (tons of tests ordered and I go back in a couple of weeks). Two things: (1) my original labs that got me referred to a rheumatologist showed a rheumatoid

Update
I had an rheumatologist appointment 8 February which was thorough and resulted in a plan of action. It took until the next morning to process it all but it’s encouraging that action is being taken. My pred was increased to 30 for 2 weeks and then will slowly be reduced. A booster steroid injection that

Enthesitis and Psoriatic Arthritis
I’m interested to hear from anyone who suffers from enthesitis with PsA? Does this condition cause the joints to swell? Does it raise the ESR/CCP markers for inflammation?

Update
Well after speaking with physio this morning and after her advice I think my running days are a long way away as like she and others have said running is not the best for osteoarthritis in the knee, she said cos I have had the cortisone injection that is is stopping the pain but it don't last forever

Reducing Joint inflammation: anything you have tried that actually helps?
Hi all,(Asking for my husband who has terrible knee pain and the start of arthritis. He is looking for something other than naproxine/iboprofane, and preferably something natural. Grateful for any personal recomendations. Thanks.

Hashimotos - inflammatory arthritis - hydroxychloroquine
Hi I have Hashimotos and a multitude of other ‘little conditions’ as you’ll all know. My main pain atm is my swollen finger joints. Due partly to covid I just had useless phone consultations with a rheumatologist and his locums. All saying you have osteoarthritis take an aspirin. Then a couple of months

Lupus/Rheumatoid arthritis & subcutaneous nodules.
Hello. I hope you’re all doing well. 5 years ago, whilst living in the midlands, I was diagnosed with negative ana lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. I was looked after by a wonderful team and felt very grateful. Unfortunately, 3 years ago we had to relocate due to my partner’s career and the rheumatology

Update on my previous post trapped nerve and PMR.
After an MRI on my spine I do not have a trapped nerve in my back and my pain is two vertebrae bones crumbling. I have come to the conclusion that the pain in my back and bottom area is mainly my PMR flare, it is so bad I can't move without pain while in bed. Tried increasing my pred dosage from 6mg

Severe Spinal Stenosis Surgery and RA/PsA
Hi everyone, haven’t posted or respond to people for a while as I’ve been in quite a lot of discomfort. As I’ve previously posted about I was initially diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and then psoriatic arthritis . I have a history of 30+ years. Following a recent MRI scan, my spine has deteriorated

Pain below buttocks both sides. Rheumatologist says could be from PMR but who knows.
PMR diagnosed 2017. My CRP — which always aligned with my PMR pain— has been normal for over a year now. I’m on 2mg prednisone. — To see whether I may be in actual PMR remission, I started a slow 7-week reduction to 1.5 mg pred (from 2mg) three weeks ago. I see my endocrinologist soon and will ask
