Numbness in feet
I have under function of thyroid glands and also osteoarthritis for a number of years. Since over a year I notice that the ball of my feet as well as the back of my toes feel 'numb', especially first thing in the morning when I wake up. Sometimes this sensation is also there during the night. Rather

Psoriatic Arthritis
Does anyone have any experience with this? From my research from, yes, Dr. Google, on a Saturday night when I'm fed up and after my pedicurist suggested that the red scaly patches on both legs could be psorisis. Apparently psoriatic arthritis is very closely related to Lupus and you can have both.

Newswire Spring 2023 - my thoughts
I just finally got round to reading this and am left feeling more inspired and positive on the whole. There is still a long way to go and so much to learn about the baffling diseases of PMR and GCA but when I think back to when I was first diagnosed and struggling between 2012 and 2015, there are definite

Clopidogrel - Joint Pain
Clopidogrel. Would love to hear of people's experiences with Clopidogrel. I've been on it since September 2019 when I had my stroke (along with Atorvastatin and blood pressure tablets). My bloods were fine when checked, but I was put on the tablets just in case. Stroke was caused by an infarction

Never rains just pours….😡😡
Now being tested for rheumatoid arthritis due to extremely painful ankles, knee and wrists. Hopefully if positive this new addition to the family will get on well with my IPF but as long as the lung transplant can proceed I’m cool. 🤪🤪 Stay safe xx

PMR - Inflammatory Arthritis?
I was reading the post about the new Biologic medication named Kevzara yesterday. I was very surprised that in the Medscape link PMR is labeled as “Inflammatory Arthritis “. I had no idea that it flew under this banner. Any thoughts on this?

methotrexate via injection
we’ll finally saw a rheumatologist to be told I have PMR and Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis. I’m currently on 13 mg of pred and have now been given methotrexate tablets I take 6 every Thursday. A nurse is coming to show me how to inject myself instead of me having it via tablet. I was just wondering

Knuckle and Knee pain
My partner is down to 5mg prednisone, has been at this for 6 years or so and now has pain and swelling in one hand’s knuckles as well as her knees. Last time she saw the rheummy who we dislike, she had only one knuckle swollen and painful and he said he wants to start treating her like she has RA.

Hot flashes?
Am having ever more hot flashes and sweating around my neck over last several months. Could it be the steroids? In the distant past, was relying on welbutrin for depression but got hot flashes and changed to escatolepram. In the last few years I started taking a small dose of welbutrin in addition

Can you 'demand' Tocilizumab for GCA?
I was diagnosed with PMR in January 23, responded well to steroids (15mg) but quickly developed GCA symptoms (severe headache pain, blurred vision and jaw claudication) when these were reduced to 12.5mg after 3 weeks and 'normal' CRP/ESR tests. I was referred to Ambulatory care but an ultrasound showed
