Getting an appointment
Hi I am wondering about appointments and waiting times, I have psoriatic arthritis, and my dad seems to have started with same symptoms as I had, (mines under control) he has been referred and GP has said they have put him as urgent case as he doesn’t have use of his hands as they are so swollen and

Methotrexate & Vaccine
Hi Everyone I hope you're all keeping and feeling ok. I've seen a few posts regarding stopping treatment before having the vaccine and had my vaccine yesterday, I was a bit worried as no-one has said to me to stop taking the methotrexate I'm on (20mg). I've had a telephone consultation with a GP this

Rheumatoid nodule?
Hi, They think I have early RA or an inflammatory arthritis. I’ve just noticed a round swelling next to my middle thumb joint. I’m positive for RF and have read that nodules are quite common if you have RF. Is this nodule a sign things may be progressing?

Rheumatoid arthritis, pregnancy and the covid vaccination
Hi, thanks everyone for responding to my earlier question about rheumatoid and the covid vaccination. I just wanted to know if there is anyone who is planning for pregnancy and are concerned about taking the covid vaccine. I'm concerned if the covid vaccination could affect pregnancy, as it hasn't been

Seronegative, what does it mean
Hi All I love following this group which is invaluable for the information shared, I’ve seen quite a few posts with people who are seronegative, what does it mean please? From what I can gather it’s a marker on whether you could have arthritis but even having a seronegative result doesn’t mean you don

Stuck
I have been on 24 mgs deflazacort (and up to 40gs) for 3 months because of a flare. I am trying to reduce by 10 percent per fortnight but I don't seem to be making any headway: Lower back, groin, knee, shoulder pain and fatigue. I was diagnosed in August 2018 and from 15mgs I reduced with very few symptoms

Tocilizumab extension
Hi I wrote a couple of weeks ago asking if anyone had been told that their tocilizumab was being extended. I’ve heard nothing from rheumatology or G.P but today I’ve had a txt from the company that deliver the injections to say they are delivering early March. Not sure if it’s the normal 8 weeks supply

Am I a vulnerable person?
Are people with Fibro, Diverticular Disease, and Arthritis considered as vulnerable? During the first lockdown, I wasn't sure about registering on my local council listing and now I am even more confused. Is anyone able to give me any advice, please? Thanks.

Nervous
Sorry I'm going a bit off piste but I feel very scared. My husband has had trouble with his mobility and memory for a couple of years and yesterday got a diagnosis of Normal postural Hydrocephalus. He has been advised to have a lumber puncture to drain some fluid to see if it temporarily improves with

I have inflammatory arthritis and will start Benepali treatment soon. Has it been successful for people and does it cause weight gain?
