Very low iron at same time as previously controlled rheumatoid arthritis is now very much out of control.
I've been diagnosed with RA and Lupus for over 35 years. I went through most of the known drugs over many years before being accepted on Enbrel which was amazing and gave me back a quality of life I never thought I regain. However I was switched to Benopali under the assumption it was the same generic

Toe pain
I am currently down to almost 2.5mg daily. I take 3.75 about 3 days a week (cutting a 2.5 in half). For a few weeks I have had a bit of pain in my right big toe joint and now all the toes on my left foot are tingly/achy too! Do you think this is PMR related or the start of arthritis?

vastly different perspective of different rheumatologist: so am I terribly controlled after all?
hello all. I don’t know what to make of my face to face appointment yesterday and I feel rather emotional. It’s been well over two years since I saw a rheumatologist face to face - or indeed any kind of hospital medic. All that time my lovely learned consultant told me that although the arthritis was

Arthritis, PMR or both.
I’ve been on this journey for nearly 3 years and am down to 1.5mg pred. I still get shoulder pain but it manifests in a different way to when I first got PMR. I had shoulder problems for some years before I got PMR. I found it difficult to tie up my blood parameters, which were fine, with the shoulder

Wondering if this is worth going back to my GP for
Hello everyone, I'm Zo I'm 27 and last year I was not diagnosed per say, but my GP 'suspected' or said it 'may be' early osteoarthritis as tests for rheumatoid arthritis came back negative (my mother has it). I've had joint pain since I was 18, started in my left knee and has since progressed to my

MRI Scan result
Well I guess this could have been better and I have to admit it's probably worse than I anticipated. I'll sort out a chat with the doc to see where/if we go from here. Hopefully my DEXA scan in a couple of weeks will be more cheerful. [i]The scan shows he has sciatica with neuropathic pain and if the

PMR shoulder pain?
I’m wondering if anyone else’s shoulder pain is worse in the evening. When first diagnosed I had the classic morning symptoms. As I also have inflammatory arthritis, scoliosis and spinal stenosis I am finding it difficult (as are the doctors) to match the symptoms to the conditions.

Fantastic Book for PMR and GCA
On one of my earlier posts, a poster referred me to a book about PMR and GCA. My husband, 73 has been diagnosed with PMR. She recommended this book and it has been fantastic and eye opening and in many ways a Godsend, particularly for asking questions of the rheumatologist and his proactive GP who

PMR or arthritis update.
Just over a week ago I posted the question PMR or arthritis because my hips and back had flared up. I got great advice on here as usual which meant I increased my pred from 4mg to 7mg. It took two days to give me good pain relief but I felt a bit fed up cos I’d got down to 4mg and now gone backwards.
