3 days on bisoprolol and no symptoms of PAF!
Am feeling very upbeat as this is as long as I have gone without an episode since the symptoms started 3 months ago. Just a minor blip this afternoon when I felt a bit light-headed and tired for a couple of hours. Otherwise have been my usual self. Have been monitoring my B/P and pulse twice daily as

Hi, I suffer from RLS each night and I am due to go into hospital for a knee joint replacement. Any advice would be welcome
Having suffered with RLS for many years on a nightly basis I take Pramipexole and Co Codamol and have my own routine for trying to get some quality sleep. I am very concerned that immediately post operation with my leg immobilised, how will I be able to cope when my RLS kicks in?

C25K: Job Done: Graduated!
A beautiful morning for W9R3, and for the first time I was accompanied by himself: Mr SecretJogger, to cheer me out and back on my final C25K run. He settled into his newspaper in the sunshine with swans, ducks and fishermen, and I set off around the lakes, anticlockwise: my contraflow way of avoiding

Week 7 first run
I have just completed the first run of week 7 using the podcasts. Have to say these are great, I would not have done it without them. I had spinal fusion surgery 11 months ago and have not even been able to run for a bus in years, I walked with a stick 3 years ago. I have amazed myself with what I can

L5-S1 spinal fusion
OK everyone, I had my fusion Wednesday the 16th. Yes it is extremely painful but I made it and already feel better. I had 6 screw's 2 pins and a plate installed. That carved a peace of hip bone to help fuse everything. I can't walk too well just yet but really pushing my self. I guess I was scared

Double vision and squint surgery to correct it
I've had double vision for about 15 yrs. Initially I thought it was caused by either : a) Carbamazaphine Retard (side effects) b) Iritis ( the pupil became attached at an odd angle) This week I was told it was caused by Ataxia. Since the onset of double vision, the pupil in my left eye has gradually

Newly diagnosed. How does PBC impact existing health problems?
Hi I was diagnosed with PBC four months ago after having a series of confused / dizzy spells leading to scans, blood tests. So I did all the practical stuff, I read the leaflets, improved my diet, took my Ursofalk and bar a few stomach upsets it was business as usual. From what I've read at this point

Hi out there! Has anyone got joint hypermobility syndrome (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome III) and having problems with Pulmonary Rehab exercises?
I haven't yet been on my course but I am worried about the type of repetitive exercises they set you to do as us bendy people with EDS have big problems when it comes to repetitive exercises, especially on knees and back - any one please?

SPEED ....
This was my first post grad run and, in many ways, my least succesful to date. First I got stopped during my warm up run about an 'important matter' which meant my first sprint was up a v.steep hill. No I didn't! But it threw me a bit really. I found it really hard to complete the 60secs fast and then

Pain Clinic, should I ask for a 2nd opinion?
I had a spinal fusion for scoliosis last July and although my spine is now straight I have been left in significantly more pain. Some of the pain is from my ligaments being pulled kicking and screaming into a new position and some from a sciatica type pain. I have difficulty walking, sitting, sleeping
