SPEED ....
This was my first post grad run and, in many ways, my least succesful to date. First I got stopped during my warm up run about an 'important matter' which meant my first sprint was up a v.steep hill. No I didn't! But it threw me a bit really. I found it really hard to complete the 60secs fast and then

Pain Clinic, should I ask for a 2nd opinion?
I had a spinal fusion for scoliosis last July and although my spine is now straight I have been left in significantly more pain. Some of the pain is from my ligaments being pulled kicking and screaming into a new position and some from a sciatica type pain. I have difficulty walking, sitting, sleeping

Tired, no energy, bad neck pains and headaches, blurred vision, sore throat and some swelling on neck.
Hi all and good morning. I am writing on here as don't know what to do. I feel so tired all day even if I have a good sleep. My energy is zero, I've had bad neck pain and migraine headaches for 10 days on trot when normally it's just a few days. My eyes are blurred and feel dizzy. I've been getting a

JHS and childbirth
I apologize if I'm writing this in the wrong forum. But I'm looking for advice about childbirth with hyper mobility syndrome. Some back story. When I was 15 my GP diagnosed me with joint hyper mobility syndrome. When I was 16 my left shoulder began subluxing which it does now only on occasion (I've

Disappointment Personified
Well, I went to the St Andrews Parkrun this morning all full of vim and vigour, promising this would be a good one. 23 minutes should keep Aftabs at bay for a little while longer. The first two km went according to plan - a little over schedule but definitely heading for a PB. Unfortunately, I let

5 month anniversary, and ParkRuns
I realised today that I first started trying to run 5 months ago. Thinking back after today's fun run I remember how 'hard' it was to run for 1 minute, and how blissful it was to walk for 90 seconds. I didn't feel like a runner, just a real 'hammy'. I always knew I could finish the C25K, which I did

As Questran is off limits for the time being, I spoke to my hepatologist who suggest I can substitute Questran Light, colestipol or
general cholestymamine. I can't guarantee that the spellings are correct! I know what Questran Light is like, has anybody used either of the other two? If so, what comments do you have on taking them?

The bad news is the increased pain I've had over the past few months is because the next

is deteriorating rapidly. He doesn't want to operate again yet..... His advice: build up core strength, general fitness and lose weight and go back when sciatica becomes severe.

Waiting Diagnosis
I've had the 'shakes' since a head injury nearly 40 years ago. Over the years I've had several 'episodes' where I walked into walls, fell up and down steps and stairs, knocked pans off the hob, dropped things...... I now have RA and need joint replacements which adds to everything else. My latest

What is Hypermobility?
I was at my first Physio appointment last week to get Acupuncture for my neck, shoulder and back pain. When I was going over my symptoms and history etc. I told her that when I lift/move my shoulders they do a 'popping' and 'clicking', like it is popping from the joint. After telling her this, she
