One final roll of the dice
We’ve finally made the decision (9 months after our last failed cycle) to have one last roll of the dice to try for a sibling (daughter born 2020 on fourth go at
IVF
/ICSI).

laparoscopy - recovery time before starting IVF.
hi all, I am thinking about doing laparoscopy surgery abroad (Turkey) to remove 5cm cyst on ovary and possibly small fibroids (3 fibroids: 66mm, 10mm and 7mm) and was wondering if anyone knows approximately how long it takes to recover before I can do
IVF
cycle again?

Cycle day of baseline scan
I was just wondering what cycle day a baseline scan is typically done for
IVF
. I was told by my clinic that I should have it on cycle day 18-25, but everything I've read about
IVF
says it's normally done between days 2-5 of the cycle so I'm really confused.

anyone else hate Provera?
, my first time doing “mild”
IVF
. My doc always prescribes Provera for 2 weeks before stims, and I find that every cycle I feel worse and worse with it. My heart races, I can’t sleep well, and my moods are absolutely insane (up and down, round and round).

Employee rights during IVF
So I’m really lucky that my employer is being very understanding about my upcoming
IVF
treatment however, my husband’s employer is not. I don’t expect him to come to all of my appointments but there are some where I would like him there. Obviously there will be one where he’s definitely needed!

progynova prior IVF
hello! my doctor put on progynova 2 tablets x 3 times a day. I’m worrying that is way too much (12mg a day) my lining went from 2mm to 7mm . I took it for 21 days then 7 days of progestin, I just restarted progynova but this time the doctor said to take it for 8 weeks. Is it too much? Do you think that

Currently 7dp5dt - Stressing about Symptoms!!
This is my first cycle of
ivf
and I had a fresh transfer last week, was told I would get some spotting which is normal due to the procedure. Since then I had very sore boobs and light cramping.

failed cryo embryo transfer
My husband and I underwent
ivf
cycle earlier this year with own egg. We managed to get 9 eggs and 5 embryo. We had to get them genetically tested and after the long process we have 1 frozen embryo of high quality.

which I find difficult to talk to those who have not done

before.

NHS IVF process
We have been told that we will be eligible for one
ivf
attempt on the nhs by our consultant. Can anyone give me a rough indication of what happens next and how long it is likely to be for us to be able to start a cycle (if results from analysis are ok)?

Things that made a difference...
IVF
not ICSI (unless male factor). I think ICSI is overused. I did one round of ICSI and my fertilisation rate tanked from 85% to 30%. My doctor advocates for ordinary
IVF
where possible. 8. One last thing- I took expensive NAD supplements - Tru Niagen - one round.

Femara success?
We have done 5 rounds of
IVF
with 4 FET's. Our 1st transfer gave us our daughter, but since her, we have had one not implant, and 2 early miscarriages.

Birth announcement (trigger warning)
I wanted to say thank you to all those who have walked alongside us in this journey - on here and the
IVF
board - this process would have been unbearable without your support and wisdom. We will be forever grateful x

IVF clinics abroad - how to choose?
I'm based in the UK, but considering doing
IVF
treatment abroad. I'm just wondering how to go about finding reliable info about clinics abroad. In the UK we have the HFEA as a guide - what would be the equivalent of that for clinics abroad? Can anybody help?

Need mental help or support about sharing the ivf procedure with parents and in laws
I'm Indian 36+ ttc since 2016 and moved to UK in 2019. 2 iui + 1ivf icsi FET failure. My parents torture me to the core to share all the details of my process and everytime I tell them they have no rights to ask and I'm not obliged to tell, they start up their drama of being silent. Already my childhood
