In vitro fertilisation (IVF)

I have obviously turned to google and frightened myself to death, my pregnancy is an IVF pregnancy & we are almost 14 wks. I did speak with the screening midwife who said it’s common, and will mean additional screening which I already have in place but I am wondering if I should have NIPT ?

I was expecting the injections to delay the period, at least that is what happened in the previous IVF cycle.

As I am going to start my second ivf cycle soon. I have heard they are very good for egg and sperm health plz guide me.

Over the last 7 years I have had 7 rounds of ivf. Our last cycle in November ended with a failed fresh transfer and one high level mosaic that they have recommended we don’t use. Our cycle in Jan gave us 3 embryos- 2 PgT normal. Transferred one- got a positive 4 days post transfer.

I’ve never been tested post previous ivf transfers. My clinic in Cyprus said I can’t lower the dose now, they say you can’t change the dose for 10 days….does anyone know if this true/correct- have found limited research on this. also has anyone else had Progesterone at 300!!???

This is our last go at IVF so I hope it works. OTD is 31/1/24. No testing prior for me, I don’t cope well with that approach. Also, we are too poor now to buy too many tests!!

I don't think there's any point telling the IVF clinic just yet as last time they only did a beta test for me once I started with bright red blood which at the moment I dont have. Looking for reassurance please. I don't want this to be end but I'm so afraid that it might be :(

I will conduct my 4th (and final) round of IVF just after my 40th birthday, which is also causing great distress. Life wasn't meant to be like this.

Hi All, I’m new this to group and was seeking some support/ advice. I have recently been given a negative pregnancy test after a good grades embryo was transferred and I am so devastated. How should I prepare myself for a frozen embryo transfer? Anyone able to relate? I’m really struggling emotionally

Just waiting for Feb next year to discuss all the results and when to rule out the Salpingectomy and IVF afterwards. my question is does anyone here had the same experience? Is your IVF successful? Any tips for me before having ivf? Any reply is highly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I am currently 8 weeks with IVF. For the last 3 days, I am getting severe constipation. Taking lots of fibre and fluids, but it does not go away. Feeling pain in my back passage. So worried about it.. Today, dr gave me lactulose syrup. Still not feeling good.

I just wondered if there's anyone else out there waiting for IVF in Wales through the NHS? We've been on the waiting list since July 2023 and I've read it can take a minimum of 12 months just for an initial consultation!

This is my first IVF cycle and I'm feeling a little lost. I had my last monitoring scan today and my retrieval is scheduled in 3 days. I have 6 dominant follicles (3 on each side) and a few more smaller ones. They didn't really go into much about those.

This time I'm afraid to test on my own and get a negative because I can't afford more IVF cycles. I have to wait 5 more days for my official beta test at clinic, but this was a hatching blastocyst so I assume it should have implanted right now.

I haven’t told them I’ve been doing IVF and didn’t intend on telling if I was pregnant until I was far along. I’m now wondering if I am pregnant should I say something whilst I’m in the consultation period with my employer as I’m aware there are redundancy laws that protect pregnant employees.

Feeling lost and looking to vent in hope that I’m not alone. 10 months into IVF and one of the hardest things I’ve found is the effect on my friendships. At 41 I thought I had found my true “soul” friendships - but most of my friendships have suffered through this.
