Breaking news: what do the START results mean for HIV positive people
A major international randomized clinical trial has found that HIV-infected individuals have a considerably lower risk of developing AIDS or other serious illnesses if they start taking antiretroviral drugs sooner, when their CD4+ T-cell count—a key measure of immune system health—is higher, instead

Newer Non-Nuke HIV Meds May Allow for Lower Adherence
Newer non-nucleoside transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI, or non-nuke)–based antiretroviral (ARV) regimens may keep HIV viral loads suppressed when adherence levels are as low as 85 percent, aidsmap reports. Flaxseed & IBS
Hi, I think looking back I suffered with undiagnosed IBS as a teenager but grew out of it if that's possible. Life After Diagnosis.
I was diagnosed with HIV in Summer 1997. Although as a gay man it was not really that unexpected, it was still a shock. Looking back now on all those years, in many ways those were the times my life took off. After some time licking my wounds I started to think that if I was going to die then I should

Keeping my file open
The last visit I had with my therapist was great, I had to decide whether to keep my file open or not. I decided to keep it open as I am facing an eventual hip replacement. Also I found it does not take much to tip me over the edge, When the pain in my leg gets so bad my depression and anxiety gets so

I don't have a thyroid gland due to having it removed 14 years ago because of papilliary thyroid cancer. I now realise that I was never told whether the papilliary cancer was bi-lateral. Summer Racing Begins with a Boom!!
After having been shackled to the dreadmill for the past 5 months, I did my first 5k of the season yesterday. My hard work over the past 2 years of working out with a trainer, running some new and challenging routes, and watching my diet, has started to pay off. I've dropped 30 pounds. Becoming 'lighter
