Parker and Penny The Last Leg
This is the final stage of our epic journey. We fly to Las Vegas tomorrow from Rorotonga in the Cook Islands. As we come towards the end of the fantastic trip we agreed Parker can drop the M’Lady title and call me Penelope or Penny for short. Everything was going to plan till we landed in Aitutaki,

Memory issues from using Pravacol
I sure hope that there are people on this site that can give me some help or at least hope. I quit Pravacol 2 months ago after taking it for 6 months... Memory issues!!! I was told that by now things would be returning to my normal but they haven't. I have read that possibly COQ 10 may help --- there

So excited! Wanted to share my good news. I can go home from hospital a day early after my left hip replacement op on Monday at 6 - 9 pm! Now Thursday 9 am and dressing changed, dissolvable stitch ends clipped and ready for home. Physios happy, pharmacist happy, me so happy....just surgeon to convince

Hip Replacement Surgery
Has anybody had major surgery while taking Ibrance. I am having my surgery next week. My oncologist said to stop I dance two weeks before and today he told me I couldn’t take it for two weeks after. ?? I thought I would be able to start it right away. Really nervous being off the Ibrance for so long

Let me introduce myself.
I have been lurking on this board since my husband's Parkinson's diagnosis in July 2018. The knowledge, openness and support exhibited in the postings have been a great help. Thank you! His main symptoms are; tremors in both hands, stiff gait and a slight softening of his voice. He also has fallen

I just found this link after years of living alone with RA
I am a RA patient since 2002 . How did it begin ? Well my son got married to an American lady which upset my family . The stress on me was too much , my knee swelled and in pain Back in UK my body went override, couldn't walk, mostly all joints were affected then had a blood test which confirmed RA.

Cirrhosis and hip surgery
Hi All - I have a question 're hip surgery. I'm due to have a hip replacement some time soon. The hospital has been messing me about, telling me first of all that the op would take place some time in October and now telling me December. I have sent an e-mail protesting about this but haven't had even

More Meds
Just back from a "today" appt at GP. I take 14 different meds for PMR, high BP, hypothyroidism, osteoarthritis. I had a AF episode 2 weeks ago and had to go to A&E. There was slight UTI too. This has not cleared with self medication on Mannose and caused 2 changes of clothes yesterday as crutches slow

Curious
Wondering if anyone had similar experiences as I had after a fall and hip replacement in November 2016. After the op during which I had pneumonia I was given an individual room overlooking a hill with lots of trees which still had lots of green foliage. I was admiring the view and the wind got up and

Hi, retired a couple of years ago - now looking forward to becoming healthier and physically fitter by improving diet and increasing exercise. Any tips welcome. I have had a double hip replacement and arthritis in knees and ankles. So, a few challenges. Have a good day everyone.

More questions about low dose of Pred and Adrenal Insufficiency
Hi, I read with interest the explanations of Adrenal Insufficiency recently. Has anyone an explanation for my problem? I have been on Prednisolone for over 3 years since PMR was diagnosed in July 2015. My highest dose was 15mg . I have suffered "flares" as I reduced, well at least the GP diagnosed flares

Emotionally drained
I normally try to be a positive person, but I’m struggling at the moment. In June last year I’d been in pain in my left hip and I kept getting stuck, unable to move until I forced my leg up resulting in a very loud crack. This apparently was my hip joint coming out slightly and snapping back into place

Hip replacement
Hi. I am new here. Can someone help? I am 56, fit and active. I have been told that I need a hip replacment and I wonder - would steroid injection work? What is the likelihood of this? How fast do hips degenerate? Thanks

Hip replacement
Hi i am new here, 57 yrs old, active and fit. Ihave just been told that I need a hip replacment. Would a steroid injection work? Does anyone know what the % likelihood is of steroids working instead? Or what the recovery from such an operation is like? Help!
