Self-Catheterization - Any Thoughts?
I have had this bitch of a disease for over 16 years. I will turn ONLY 62 in January. I had a total hip replacement in late October. I was catheterized. It was removed too soon. At 3:00 a.m. the following morning I was catheterized, my bladder drained and the catheter removed. Since then, I have been

Hip Replacement
Unfortunately, the ball of my right hip has been hit with a large amount of bone mets. It is causing me a lot of pain when I walk or stand. My onc. is worried about fractures and had me see an orthopedic doc who specializes in bone diseases. Her recommendation is a partial hip replacement. Still

Oral Morphine
I was prescribed oral morphine after my second hip replacement did not go well. I found that oral morphine did little to relieve my pain and caused chronic constipation. Sorry, not to be more encouraging.

Well, phooey!
I’ve not been posting recently because a grumbly hip has prevented me from running . It’s my own fault because I probably overdid things when given permission to start trotting again following the first time it grumbled at me. So basically no running for most of this year! So that nice Mr Physio has

Oestrogel and utrogestan
Hi, I'm 51, post menopausal for about 5 years. I have IBS which has worsened since I had a hip replacement last year. My GP put me on Oestrogel and utrogestan in May this year in the hope that it would help I use 2 pumps a day and utrogestan vaginally every 2nd day. My stomach is still not behaving,

3rd primary Covid vaccine
Eventually have received the official letter from my local CCG that enables me to book my 3rd jab. However, I took it upon myself to visit a local drop-in centre armed with letters from my consultants last week. Got my jab on the 5th October after 2 weeks of hassle trying to go through official channels

Knee and hip replacement hampered by Covid lockdown then PMR was
Can anyone advise, please? I was put on the list for a knee replacement and also the opposite hip replacement some 3 to 4 years ago. Then diagnosed with PMR just as the first UK lockdown occurred. Because of lockdown I was not seen by my doctor, just eventually seen by an Osteo consultant who diagnosed

Hip Replacement and PMR
Dear friends, I've picked up from your posts that quite a few of you have had replacement surgery while on Pred and would like some advice. I have severe osteoarthritis in right hip, it's been there for years getting slowly worse but as it never gave me direct pain but only tightness and restriction

3rd Primary Covid Vaccine
Well I finally got my 3rd Primary Vaccine today. Having given up at trying to get the jab through official channels I just turned up at a local drop-in centre and eventually found someone who knew what I was talking about. Went armed with letters from my Rheumatologist and Immunologist and the nurse

INFLAMMATORY OSTEOARTHRITIS What is this diagnosis? Where can I find information about this?
Help please. I have been diagnosed with Inflammatory Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, Lumbar and Cervical spine stenosis. I have not been given any information about INFLAMMATORY OSTEOARTHRITIS and can’t find much about it either. No ongoing support advice regarding this diagnosis. Feeling alone and frustrated

Getting there….🏃♀️
After dealing with cancer, radiotherapy , chemotherapy , a stem cell transplant & a total hip replacement less then 10mts ago - I have just completed week 6 & Run 2! The thought of catching COVID because of my health issues has kept me locked away for nearly 2yrs - getting back out there to run has helped
