After a rather horrible 2 and a bit years, I am finally feeling on the better side. I have been reading every one's posts and I am aways astounded by the amazing kindness and support on this site. I wanted to for a change from me to post about how I am starting to feel well after months of dreadful fatigue following my hip replacement awful infection, hip redo and tissue salvage, I just wish thy had sucked some of the fat off my other hip now to make me look less wonky, wonky things are all the rage at present so I hear. I am relieved to be able to say I have had no PMR symptoms and I am down to 2mgs per day and off Methotrexate altogether. I wanted to tell you all this because at times over the last few years life hasn't felt worth living because of the pain and fatigue I have suffered and quite honestly there were times when I didn't think I was going to survive. But here I am and I have managed to take my little dog for a walk, not on my own yet but I did it. Sending all of you lots of love and thanks for being there when life didn't feel worth living. π

We all love good news stories, Hiibilly, and yours exudes positivity and will give hope to others who are wondering when they will ever 'get there'.May you continue on your current path and achieve more and more-albeit slowly and listening to your body.
Your little dog must have been overjoyed that you were able to accompany him on the walk-or in his/her eyes, he was able to accompany you π.
(I confess to becoming a little teary -in a good way.)
Ahh thank you 123-go it felt good share something positive and I do hope it helps someone. I have been though my boots on more occasions than I care to think of.
Really lovely to hear how even in the darkest of times things will turn around and the joy return. Such an uplifting post.....we need to hear the good stuff too......gives us hope, and the motivation to not 'give up'! Truly happy for you.
Belly dancing on the horizon. I managed to get to my sons wedding in a wheelchair having just had the hip redone they let me out of hospital on day realise so I missed the dancing but saw the ceremony thank goodness, so have some dancing to catch up on π.
The only way is up and the dog will help you all the way............... BTW saw some wheelchair dancing on the telly - think it was last year around this time. It was fascinating watching those people keeping time to the music with spins etc.
SO HAPPY for you! I am at the beginning of my journey and feel down most of the time. It's encouraging to hear that a better future is indeed possible. Thank you for sharing your good news!
