Painkiller for after Dental Procedure
So next week I’m going to my dental surgery to get three tooth implants. The first session is when they drill metal rods into the bone. Once the local anaesthetic wears off it’s very painful. I’ve had one done before now this time three at once!! Last time I didn’t know about my CKD so as I can’t take

T4 Reduction to increase TSH
In January I was taking 150 T4 daily and 2x5mg T3, my bloods were T4=18.1 (9-19) T3 4.98 (2.6-5.7) TSH <0.03(0.35-4.94). I have been taking T3 since Oct 2019 because I felt so ill, tired, hair loss, dry skin, muscle and joint problems. With the help of much advice on here I started taking supplements

lidocaine infusion didn’t work - I feel so down, what should I do?
I have severe chronic pain, and I’ve tried lots of medicines (nortriptyline, amitryptyline, co-codamol, codeine, tramadol, tapentadol), I’m currently on gabapentin 400mg x 3 times a day. But still in SO much pain. So I went to a private doc who suggested lidocaine infusions. I had my first infusion

Naturally high vitamin B12
I have had a few tests over the last few years which include Vitamin B12. I am worried that I may not be transporting it to cells as it is very high fir someone does not take supplements. See photo? Everything I question this the doctor just says we'll that's good isn't it. Is it? From what I read

I’ve been off prednisolone for almost a year now and I’m really, really stiff in the mornings and I literally hobble out of bed. During the night I wake several times with throbbing pain deep in my leg muscles and also sometimes in my arms. I feel as if it sometimes spirals round my groin and legs so

Update on safe pain relief
Received phone call from Liver Doctor yesterday tea time. I was told that it was safe for me to take up to 3g Paracetemol daily which is up to 6 x 500mg tablets daily. 8mg of Codeine daily can be taken if necessary along with a laxative as it can cause constipation. Tramadol and other Opiates should

Hi, I was chatting to a colleague today about their restless legs which have been unbearable lately. Mother in pain
My 88 year old mother has severe osteoporosis and kyphosis. She has episodes of severe back pain under her shoulders, which I am assuming is due to vertebral fractures of the spine. She uses a heating pad, over the counter pain medicine, and Tylenol with codeine when she cannot tolerate the pain anymore

Gabapentin success
I've had RLS for over 35 years getting worse as I get older. I'm now 74. I did well on mirapexin 0.09mgs for years. Then it made my RLS worse and it moved to my arms . I came off it with the help of tramadol 50mgs. I started alternating mirapexin and tram ,it wasn't perfect but better than nothing, Then

I had radioactive
iodine
some years ago and am on levothyroxine (100mg). My results from the GP always come back as 'normal' but have fluctuated wildly within this over the years.
