Taking Metavive ii to replace NatureThroid but...
Hi all. I'm feeling ill and need to help myself fast. I'm a long, boring complex case though. That's the only catch. Diagnosed by the lovely Dr P a good few years ago. Was severely hypo. Bedridden most of the day. Started NatureThroid under his guidance, upped nutrients, slowly recovered, and dozens

Conflicting MRI Grade on 2nd opinion..... any expert opinions?
OHSU would not agree to sedation , and not agree to prepping me with the
iodine
solution. Sounded like sedation would only be offered if I screamed and stopped biopsy because of pain...then start over another day in OHSU hospital.

Failed Radioiodine
Has anyone had RAI and have it fail? I had my treatment on the 24th Sept. Bloods 3 weeks later were normal, however my heart rate has rocketed in the past few days. My resting is usually mid-high 50's, now it's hovering around 100 and I'm having to use propanolol for the first time in months. Just wanted

Endo Scratch tomorrow, what’s it like?
Hi all, I had my follow up consultation yesterday after a failed double transfer a few weeks ago. They think it’s chromosome issues as I’m 42 with 4 natural miscarriages. But have had two failed fresh transfers (3 embryos) over 2 icsi cycles now so they suggested a endometrial scratch before the next

Been to hormone specialist...not sure what to think?!
She told me I am
iodine
deficient and prescribe Lugol drops. My results (24 h urine): 152 ug/g (125-264). According to her,
iodine
will increase T4 to T3 conversion along with Erfa...after telling me that I was OVER converting T4 to T3 due to low cortisol...?!

Graves Disease & High Antibodies
I last spoke to him in October when he told me that and he is happy with my thyroid function but my antibodies are too high, and that there is nothing I can do to lower this and that I need to start thinking about whether to have radio-
iodine
treatment or surgery.

Article from John-Hopkins regaurding the effects of opiates on RLS
No question, I just wanted to post some of an article regaurding the effects of opiates on RLS (the full text can be found on John Hopkins university website. Dr. Willis (as in Willis-Ekbomb disease / RLS) in his description of this disease in 1685 also reported on the benefits of opiates for treating

I’ve now been on Levo since April following RAI in January. First off I want to say thank you to all those generous people who have offered information and assurance. I’m finally getting to follow your advice regarding early morning blood tests, when I mentioned what I was doing to the endo specialist

Thyroid and Ringing Ears
Hi I would like to ask if constant ringing in one ear could be yet one more symptom of thyroid dysfunction. I am originally Hyperthyroid due to Nodules overproducing and I take Carbimazole 5mg Monday and Friday 2.5 mg Wednesday. Now aiming for 5mg twice a week. Latest results from a week ago TSH 2.48

Hello everyone, I'm new here so let me tell you a little about my story... I'm 25 and have been diagnosed with endo following a laparoscopy about this time last year. I got my periods really late in life (age17/18), but every single one has been painful and heavy (and my cycle averages about 20 days

catecholamines
Cardiac norepinephrine denervation can be seen by meta-
iodine
-benzyl guanidine scintigraphy, and may be a reliable diagnostic marker. Degeneration of norepinephrinergic and dopaminergic neurons suggests that catecholamines may play a central role in the neurodegeneration in Parkinson’s disease.
