Gastro oesophageal reflux
I’ve had RLS for decades, and have been taking codeine 30mg for a few years which I think helps - not sure if it’s just a placebo effect. However, I also have reflux for which I was taking Omeprazole 10mg on which I was symptom-free. Several months ago I discovered that Omeprazole worsens RLS, so I stopped

I've suffered with rls for over 30 years which has gradually got worse and worse. I'm now 74. After taking dopamine agonists for years, then tramadol, codeine and trying Kratom nothing was working and my doctor and neurologist would and could not prescribe anything else. In the past I had tried Pregabalin

hospital unexpected visit
I had my niece go home and get some of my stuff like except cause they wanted to clean it with
iodine
or alcohol and I didn’t want them using that. So I learn how important it is to keep a little kit ready incase an emergency happens.

Horrific mornings
Just a rant really in case anyone has similar experience. Every morning, without fail, is a nightmare. Regardless of the previous day and how I feel when I go to bed I wake with pain from nasty to severe to excruciating and need to expel the alien before I can think off getting out, by which time however

Vasospastic angina pain relief
Hi folks, Just wondering if anyone has been prescribed decent pain relief to take at home instead of having to call an ambulance? I’ve been admitted 5 times in the last 14 months with severe pain due to VSA which the GTN didn’t touch. Mine can last almost all day and go on for several days at a time

is this neuropathy?
As explained in previous posts I have two spinal fractures from X-ray January. Pain still bad and osteoporosis nurse pressed me to get stronger painkillers. Last week GP gave me 30mg codeine, taking with paracetamol but only slightly improved things. Pain is unpredictable, suddenly excruciating, shooting

Rheumatology second opinion appointment
Hello everyone, so my husband had his second opinion with another NHS rheumatologist yesterday (same hospital), and I'd really appreciate people's thoughts on some of the things he said, as follows: 1) The pain, stiffness, heat and swelling across my husband's knuckles and proximal joints (both hands

Is it ok to take painkillers with Prednisolone?
I have recently had probable PMR diagnosis and am on day 2 of week’s trial on 15mg prednisolone. Too early to see if it’s having effect but had partially sleepless 1st night and PMR symptoms worse than ever this morning plus slight headache (but that could be lack of sleep). Before GP confirmed my suspicions

Pregabalin
I read a disturbing report in the media today regarding Pregabalin and addiction and also reports of death amongst Pregabalin users. The age report was from anything from 20,s to elderly. When Pregabalin was used with opiates the frequency of deaths rose sharply This is obviously most upsetting with

Teva levothyroxine solution, any positive results for anyone?
Hi Has anyone tried Teva levothyroxine solution, and had positive results compared to taking any levothyroxine tablets? To cut a very long story short, the 75 mcg Wockhardt tablets I take are causing terrible pressure all over body and excruiciating burning through top of my head. So bad I collapse.
