Pains following laparoscopy after bowel movement
Hello girls, day 3 post laparoscopic treatment for endometriosis with a cystoscopy and mirena fitting and I'm coping just about! But I have been getting an awful pain only after bowel movements and I can't seem to get an answer on what it could be after a visit to the hospital, so wondering if anyone

CTA v MRA
The CTA is with
iodine
which is worrying as I have thyroiditis - the research I've done says the
iodine
can make thyroiditis worse. Is the CTA going to show anything more than the MRA?

Adverse reaction to iodine
A few days ago I had a CT scan and was injected with an
iodine
dye as a better picture would result. Since then I have felt quite ill with a sore neck, gastro upset, general muscle pain & fatigue.....I have also developed a hoarse cough, feel as if I've got to clear my throat.

Advice Please Re Results
My practitioner, who I am seeing privately has suggested that I get my
iodine
checked and have a thyroid ultrasound. Sadly my GP appears to know very little about thyroid function and providing myTSH falls within NHS guidlines thinks that any further tests are irrelevant.

Help.
So I’m just diagnosed have Jsut started spironolactone and metformin along with high dosage of many vitamins etc due to severe deficiencies. I went in holiday so GP gave northisterone even tho knew I had PCOS. I now am on my period first day and never had pain like it. Never normally get cramps anyways

Help please with blood results
Could it be
iodine
deficiency? But also got vitamins tested and one jumped out as out of range- folate. Here’s the other results, all designated normal range except folate.

Clarification please on Graves/ Hashis antibodies?
I was hyp

in 1987. I had Carbimazole and PTU, but T4 went high and TSH low again when I stopped the tablets. I then had RAI in 1989, and have been hyp
O
ever since. I assumed I originally had Graves, but there aren't any antibody results from those years in any of my complete medical

Radiation for Graves..
I am seriously considering Radiation
iodine
and take my chances with hypothyroid. Has anyone hear had it done and did you feel better or worse? I suspect a lot of people who got better after it just dropped off the forum but thought I would ask. Appreciate your time. Kevin

RAI i would love to hear your experiences 😊
Hi i saw my Endo yesterday and he suggests i have RAI for my hyperthyroidism due to my Graves disease, i had a relapse FT4 76 and he thinks it was due to me being on 5mg Carbimazole daily. I was stable at 10mg daily but he tried to lower dose to see if he could get me totally off the meds...obviously

Since myT4 has been gradually getting lower I was advised to have SHBG checked. I had The anaemia panel done also as I’m so tired, breathless and suffering muscle pain. I can barely lift my arms. I’m on 125mg thyroxine and 30mg liothyronne I had graves and then RAI therefore I’m now hypo this 24 yrs

Hyperthyroidism- First Endo Appointment
Hi All, first appointment with my endocrinologist yesterday following diagnosis of hyperthyroidism in June this year. I’m looking for a bit of help as I feel a bit “bamboozled” with what he said. He explained that the best options were a thyroidectomy or RAI, and the RAI was the one he seemed to steer

Thought I finally had an answer for my pain
Had my laproscopy 14 weeks ago where they found endometriosis. I’ve just had my follow up with the consultant who said I had the tiniest amounts of endometriosis, I explained I still had lots of pelvic pain all on my right side and he said that the amount of endometriosis I had wouldn’t be causing this

New rationale for treatment
I'm guessing that maybe I was having a reaction to lucentis as well as
iodine
. If I need regular injections to maintain my vision, which is almost 20/20 and they feel like the last one that's fine with me.

What is your dosage after RAI?
Background: I have had graves for 17 years. I battled it successfully for 15 years with PTU but about 2 years ago I had RAI as I became hospitalised with neutropaeonia on both carbimazole and PTU. Since RAI I have had low energy and depression. My question is: What dosage are people on who have had
