I have been taking Pregabalin now for quite a few years but the side effects are beginning to get me down
I suffer badly with insomnia which is really effecting my quality of life
My balance is bad and I’m afraid of falling when I go out dizziness too!
i tried to get some more zopiclone from my GP but to no avail he probably correctly thought the were not working any longer because I had been taking for a long time.
I’m getting desperate now
My regime of medication is Apixaban for atrial fibrillation a beta blocker for irregular heart beat
I take 200mg Pregabalin at 10 pm and 60 mg codeine at 11pm but I’m walking about the bedroom until 3am and later every night
Any thoughts or encouragement will be appreciated I feel so down and depressed

Ask for a low dose opioid preferably buprenorphine which is a lot stronger than codeine. Print out the section on opioids of the Mayo Updated Algorithm on RLS at Https://mayoclinicproceedings.org/a... to show him/her if needed.
Ask for a prescription for ambien since zopiclone isn't working.

Hi Hoochybaby I’m doing it with the help of my MS nurse and my doctor I am doing it slowly dropping by 50mg per fortnight don’t try to do on your own,I was on Gabapentin and had to be weaned of it too I would have been happy enough to stay on the lower dose but doctor thinks that is why my hand is so bad she is referring me on to a specialist for his opinion meanwhile I am coming of them for better or worse
