Q. for those with visual disturbances
For those of you who experience visual disturbances such as blurry vision, seeing stars, spots, lights etc. do you find they are directly related to your INR? I have been self medicating holistically and thought I found a balance. I am bruising but not badly lol Between herbals, daily aspirin,

What else is there left to do?
I have been through counseliing from my GP which wasnt helpful, then I found
hypnotherapy
. I believe it has made me calmer but I am still terrified of being embarrassed in public, I go extremely red through the simplist of tasks. I cannot go shopping...supermarket or clothes shopping.

Since my diagnosis I've tried CBT,
hypnotherapy
, reflexology etc.Ive taken citalapram, pregablin and lorazapam and nothing is working long term. Ive tried talking, not talking, crying, going back to work- I currently can't work as I can't even walk out my front door without hyperventilating.

Bath Time
I just had to share how happy I am tonight. My OT delivered my Aquajoy bath lift yesterday. Thought i would give myself a wee treat and have my first bath since christmas. It was fantastic and what a difference soaking in a hot bath does to my joints, i am now a lover of hydrotherapy. A shower is OK

physio
I managed to get to my 9am physio appointment this morning! The Physio tried me with some normal crutches but I have a very poor grip so didn't get on with them. I suggested a pair of crutches that people with Arthritis use where you put all the weight through your forearm.I got on much better with these

Has anyone tried hypnotherapy?
Just a thought, I was talking to someone about it last night and I wondered if anyone had given it a try. I understand that rls is a neurological condition but I thought it might alleviate some symptoms.

what has helped you? or what has not helped
I have had fibromyalgia since 2002 and have tried lots of therapies, pain management, CBT,
hypnotherapy
etc and have found things that help and lots that don't and I am wondering what has helped/not helped you. I am pretty much open to any new suggestion. thanks Irene

Hypnotherapy feedback report
Well I tried
Hypnotherapy
as a cure for my anxiety. I attended 3 sessions before deciding that it wasn't for me. I have tried medication, CBT and have read about anxiety. I thought I would give
hypnotherapy
a try.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share something I tried last night. I posted a blog on here a week or so ago about being scared of flying. This developed after horrible turbulence on a flight last year. My partner and I want to go to Bulgaria with friends soon, but as soon as I thought

Back at work .... been missing in action for a while
Hi all - I've started my phased return to work, and started very gradually on 3 half days for 2 weeks. (I am in a full time job) I've taken a week and a day annual leave so far and am now up to 4 half days (second week). I even managed to get a driver/assistant this week - which was a good job as I

tiring of the battle, my life with anxiety
I have tried
hypnotherapy
which initially helped but as time has gone on it seems now not to, I have also been on 2 lots of CBT via the NHS but they were only an hour for 6 weeks each time and I felt not very supportive or intense.

I am having

Will the fact that i went back to work following longterm sickness make it harder for me to apply for Ill health retirement?

Can I go back to NHS for the stop smoking meds after i quit with them and started again! sad I know :(
I have also done

The light at the end of the tunnel is sometimes an oncoming train ...
Well, I had my appointment with my 'second opinion' rheumy on Tuesday, and - after prodding me, listening to my chest front and back, and quizzing me on my pain, lifestyle, history, and bowel movements - decided that, pending some blood tests for vitamin D, antibodies, rheumatoid factor, and inflammatory
