Not so NICE guide lines for IBS
* The value of
hypnotherapy
I might have been unlucky, I might be a one off (I don't think I am) but if some of the above information had been available to me 3 years ago, I might not have had such a difficult and disrupted life which has put great stress on me and those around me.

It's been like trudging through treacle .... but I have kept going and I am still keeping up the positive!
I have struggled through the last couple of days, starting Tuesday with Hydrotherapy and then getting back into the office. There is always something to irritate you when you get back to work and I was in serious danger of falling into the negative trap of thinking things through a step too far. You

Sods law?
I then managed to make my
hypnotherapy
this afternoon and sort out lifts for tomorrow. So what this low life thief has made me realise is that time is a healer and i am progressing.

Has anyone else tried massage?
My boyfriend recently qualified as a massage therapist. He's been doing a combination of Swedish and Hot Stone massage on me once a week for the last 4 weeks and the effects are amazing! My muscles pain has receded to all dull ache, I have more mobility and my sleep has also improved. Certainly the night

My Story
As I cannot sleep again, and writing seems to help, I thought I'd get it out of my system here. I'm one of those who moan daily on my Facebook status, even though it's inappropriate. So, instead of boring my friends and family, I'll put it in this little corner where I feel comfortable offloading.

Day 3 & 4
Just updating my blog on the Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and Occupational Therapy that I have been taking part in. Days 3 & 4 have been much less painful for me and I'm really enjoying myself. I have started making my woven stool in OT and I'm very proud of it. It's held on a high rack, which help

Therapy Update
I am keeping a little diary here about my Advanced Rehabilitation Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy. I attended twice in a week. If you are interested, you can read my other blog posts. Hydrotherapy
I had a session of hydrotherapy at my local hospital and it was wonderful at the time, just like being weightless, but the rest of the day I felt dreadful, I had to dose up on painkillers and last night I had hardly any sleep because I had a horrible headache and felt ill. I am wondering if it is an

GP tomorrow, then I'll feel better - right?
4 days since my marathon trek to Bath for hydrotherapy & I'm still suffering! Since I got home, I've basically slept. When I'm awake I'm in so much pain that I've even considered suicide! It's taken this long to get a doctors' appointment, but I don't for one minute think She'll be able to help. I'm

I attended three sessions of
Hypnotherapy
which seemed to really help, I also had an increase in medication by 5mg! I don't know which made the biggest difference but my hypnotherapist was amazing. I just wanted to share my positive story to give some people hope. Lots of love xx

Please can anyone recommend any pelvic neurologist specialists?? Also have u heard of a MRN Scan available in UK??
Hi, I havent been on here for a while. I am still suffering with excruciating chronic pelvic pain in my right groin area and the pain travels round to my hip. I have had countless tests, X-rays, MRI scans etc all of which have come back clear. My pain consultant is still thinking I have an inflamed Addictor

Promises of help at last
Since leaving my unsupportive husband,I have had lots of mixed messages from officialdom! I was awarded ESA with no difficulty, but had my direct payments (& PA) withdrawn, because I don't fit the criteria in this area! My new GP has been rubbish. Then a glimmer of hope - a really helpful consultant

Week 2 of Hydrotherapy - good but tiring :-)
I've just started on the NHS hydrotherapy treatment. It is really good when I'm in the water, and the exercise seems so minimal and simple, but I really notice how much energy it saps - this week was better than my first week when it completely wiped me out. So this week, I took the decision to take

Can't knock the NHS this time
I was referred back to the Fibro Consultant at Bath Rheumatic Diseases hospital by my previous Gp (I've moved now) because my pain was so bad. I thought that I'd be waiting months, but it was remarkably quick. The doctor was nice but not a lot of help, but he did refer me back to the coping skills
