GREAT SITE
I have slowly been cutting out foods high on the
FODMAP
list, and seem to have some relief. Here is a link to the site:http://ibs.about.com/od/constipation/

Advice needed
I am a bit suspicious of these as I previously did
FODMAP
and had endoscopies for gluten...all of which showed I had no problems. I now have no idea what to do next. I really feel that it is a thyroid / hormonal issue but am at a loss as to how to move forward Has anyone had a similar experience?

Foods that stop IBS. And FODMAP
It got 80% better 6 months ago with the low
FODMAP
along with exercise, and a low fat and low caffeine diet. Oh, and peppermint tea. But I started noticing that certain foods seemed to improve the remaining symptoms. And, for me, the best thing to stop it is fresh red chilli.

FIRST DAY OF FODMAP.
ANY SUPPORT,PLEASE, ON WHAT SEEMS LIKE AN OBSTACLE COURSE? I've shopped for some basics, but being elderly and wearied by illness, I don't want to get into full-scale cooking again. Must admit I'm not very brave about trying new foodstuffs. Help.

IBS, SIBO and low fodmap diet
I tried reintroducing higher
fodmap
foods after 7 months on the low
fodmap
diet ....began taking fiber pills but nothing works. SIBO continues to be a huge problem. I took 3 rounds of xifaxan to no avail.. Is anyone able to return to semi normal eating at some point? I am running out of ideas....

Sore tongue
Hi all, I have had IBS-C for many years, and found the
FODMAP
diet helpful, but recently I cannot seem to get any kind of control over my bowels, not working hardly at all. I have for a while had a sore tongue ( on the tip), seems to be worse when I come into contact with perfume etc.

Diet effects on rest of family
Hi all Having just had a IBS flare up I have changed my diet to no wheat, no dairy and am also following the
FODMAP
diet. I'm doing lots of home baking using different flours etc. My husband insisted that we all eat the same so he and our daughters could help me through it.

Endo diet?
I have a very irritable bowel (not sure if its part of the endo or not) and did the low
FODMAP
diet a few years ago. Gradual reintroduction showed me that wheat and corn gave me pain and symptoms very quickly other things did not.

Why does it seem that all I do is moan
My daughter has been put on a
FODMAP
diet for health reasons but it is making cooking so very difficult. She can not have gluten, dairy, beans and pulses.

IBS flare up or just a gastric upset:how can you tell?
Trying to work out whether I'm having an Ibs flare-up or a mild bout of gastric flu, I started the
Fodmap
diet 10 days ago, also lactose free, the bloating is better but nothing else has improved.

Following FODMAP diet on advice of GP
Using this website: http://www.ibsdiets.org/
fodmap
-diet/
fodmap
-food-list/ Which is very detailed and good to reference. Also bought a new
FODMAP
diet book, which is interesting, I highly recommend it.

Yay!
I'm about to try to the low
FODMAP
diet to see if that helps. Does anyone have any input on what has helped them feel better? I wish I could take out my guts and beat them up for being so mean to me all the time. Thanks so much :)

Kefir for IBS
I have tried the
FODMAP
diet for a few months but there was no significant change. I recently read an article on drinking Kefir to help with IBS and it does seem to help, I have had less flare ups. However I am off on my holidays in a few weeks and I am unable to take my Kefir with me.

I have been following the low
fodmap
diet for 2 months, and am slowly trying to reintroduce foods with moderate success. I would like to add soymilk back to my diet but the low
fodmap
diet calls for only soy products made without soybeans and from outside the USA.
