Fibre seems to be answer
Also told no diet -
fodmap
, gluten free etc will help! Eating is actually the problem. I said well I'm glad no nasty illness but had hoped for some magic pink medicine to make me better 😊 answer was if I had that answer I would not be here I'd.

COELIAC DISEASE WITH IBS
Now following the
FODMAP
diet but the pain does get me down as I have to work. I take amitriptyline at night for the pain. I have had meds for acid reflux but they really don't work for me. If anyone has coeliac disease and IBS symptoms I would be very interested to know that I am not alone!!

FODMAP diet
Has anyone on here tried the
FODMAP
diet? I'm thinking of tying it under the professional guidance of a dietician but it looks really hard and im not sure I could stick to it. I would be encouraged to try if others had found it successful. Cutting out foods on my own sounds a bit unreliable.

Some of the foods on the high
fodmap
list I am ok with. Should I eliminate them even if I don't have issues?

gps don't seem to understand that I have high cholesterol am not at all overweight and do not eat high fat, processed foods
I had to keep explaining to the gp that I was already restricting my diet to control my IBS (the gp referred me to a dietitian to be put on the low
fodmap
diet for IBS) when I had blood tests done.

Hello, I am currently in the first week of the
FODMAP

A flare up of IBS
My GP and I discussed the
Fodmap
diet and I said that I would experiment with it and see how things went. She said if I needed to she would always refer me to Dietician. I am much better than I was but still I do not feel right. I used to enjoy my food.

I have this week on Monday started the
FODMAP
diet under a dietician, it's only day 5 I know it's early days but I feel no different, I understand that it may take a few weeks before I feel any different but does anyone have any past experience with this and did it work, I suffer mainly from bloating

Calling out to those on the low fodmap - I need inspiration and motivation!
I've been on the low
fodmap
before, a few years back and it did help but because it was restrictive I fell off the wagon! My symptoms have not been good the last 6 months or so and I really should try the diet again.

Anyone else following low fodmap diet and having to go on a low fat\high fibre diet for high cholesterol
None of the gps I have seen no anything about the low
fodmap
diet. It is called the low
fodmap
diet, not the

diet.

Accepting IBS
Now that IBS is on my radar and adjusting to a
FODMAP
diet, I am hopeful I can regain some stability in my digestive system. It is so good to see the questions and answers printed here as this disease is isolating and lonely. The adage, "misery loves company" is true.

Copper IUD or IBS?
I also ate some high
fodmap
foods which could contribute. Does this sound more like a combination or IBS and extreme period pains? Or could it be the coil causing extreme pain / could it have moved? I think I'm getting paranoid that it's fallen out lol.

FODMAP Snacks
Hi all Just after some ideas for
FODMAP
friendly snacks. I work out and about in the community and struggle to find things that I can eat when I am out so trying to get some more inspiration on what I can take out with me or what I can buy out that's ok.

Advice about pain in IBS
He doesn't really have diarrhoea or constipation and he has changed his diet to the low
fodmap
diet. He has been in this pain for nearly three months now (which is constant). When the painkillers wear off every four hours the pain is there straight away. Is this normal of IBS.

Probiotics? Switching Medication? Need advice.
I know it's best to try the
FODMAP
diet on top and other stuff but if I can get a start while I wait for further referrals again that'd be awesome.

Changed my life
I must say that the
Fodmap
diet changed my life. I had suffered from IBS for 2years and was very frustrated , when a dietician put me on the diet.
