I'm new! IBS&FODMAP Diet
I have been put on the
FODMAP
diet, which although its annoying to have to check the ingredients on everything you eat, I think it has helped. But I just find that everything I eat now is the same, very bland and repetitive. Does anyone else feel like this?

I have had abdominal pain now for two months. It's mostly right side and under the navel it is sore, but sometimes it is just sore all over
The most recent time I went to my GP (yesterday) she suggested the
FODMAP
diet, so I am going to see how I get on with that, but I was really hoping she would send me for more tests. Next week I have to carry on with my working life. I'm just going to have to take painkillers and hope for the best.

I have IBS-C, Does any one have similar symptoms? If so what products have you found to be beneficial.
After 20 yrs of this, and trying so many products, I have found the
FODMAP
diet the most beneficial. I am now also trying Symprove, ( 7th week) but as yet no improvement.

1 month into fodmap diet - update
Well I'm about a month in now and have to say the difference in my well being is unbelievable. I have had one or two episodes and thanks to my diary, can identify why. Can't pinpoint any specific food group as its been a case of needing to eat and resorting to junk food as there was no other option

FODMAPs android app
I am wondering, is the
FODMAP
app for androids worth buying? it costs £5.60, I don't want to buy it unless it's actually going to help. Have you used/use it? is it worth the money? should I get a book instead? all your advice is much appretiated

Was fearing the worst after going out for a meal.
I started a strict low
fodmap
diet 2 weeks ago and have really noticed a difference, Hence I was dreading today, especially since I'm working at a wedding from 4-12 tonight. I avoided pasta etc but there was little on the menu that wasn't a no no so I just opted for the best bet.

Well I've just completed my first week on the Monash University
FODMAP

Just completed my first FODMAP shopping trip. Confused over bread ingredients
Im taking on the
Fodmap
7 day trial and have to say how disappointing my shopping trip had been, I've managed to pick up some gluten free plain flour and lactose free milk. A real eye opener.

Day 3 of strict Low Fodmap diet and I'm not feeling well
Bearing in mind I do have a very speedy system and even though I've just been using the Monash Uni Low
Fodmap
diet since Friday Lunchtime, I'm IBS symptom free. No cramps, only 2 trips to the loo since Friday. However, I fell rough this morning.

Looks like it really is IBS
No medication works for me, I'm currently on week 5 of a
FODMAP
diet and have seen next to no improvement. I feel completely screwed. How can I live my life like this? It wouldn't be so bad if medication eased the pain. I've tried so many different remedies.

Any suggestions? A lot of wind - both ends! Lactose intolerant, FODMAP diet helps pain - but not this.

Does anyone know of a good gastroenterologist in the south or south west of England?
She said it was IBS and I needed to follow the diet 'Dr Evil' recommended (
FODMAP
). I have virtually excluded all trigger foods in this diet anyway and don't want to lose anymore weight (I have lost nearly a stone) trying yet another diet and I have osteoporosis as well.

In regard to IBS I hear mentions of FODMAP diet and the associated App. Is this accessible to those of us who do not have access to the App?

Who is having successes with Aloe Vera to ease symptoms
Don't know as haven't had the determination to battle through a
FODMAP
diet. Went to a local High street health food shop and they advised Aloe Vera juice, allegedly made from the gel of Aloe, with a probiotic, both had good reviews on the internet so tried them.

Change from Mebeverine to Buscopan
I am trying to follow a
FODMAP
diet, although I can drink milk, eat yoghurt( but not very cheap ones!) and eat white bread. If I try and stick to the
FODMAP
things are fairly calm, but it flares badly if I eat something I shouldn't ( I found gravy a problem recently!)

Having a stress day
I have been doing
FODMAP
for 2 1/2 weeks now, but am having a very stressful day today and have eaten 3 chocolates as it is someone's birthday at work. Please tell me I haven't undone all the good work that I have done for the last 2 1/2 weeks.
