I think my fitness tracker was wrong

Decided to try nrc so set off this morning to do 5k with Coach Bennett. Great run BUT my Garmin kept telling me that my pulse rate was 0. Decided it was probably wrong.

When I got home I checked my details. As I thought, my heart had been beating. So much for trusting science :)

I find with Garmin you need the watch to be relatively tight on your wrist to get a good heart rate reading. Could it have been too loose?

Thanks Thommo, it seemed quite snug and I didn't want to stop and have to faff around with it so just carried on. It must have been picking up something because all the stats for heart rate showed up on the app.

Delighted to hear your heart was in fact beating this morning, to be honest, mine was going at a galloping pace so I actually thought I was picking up your HR and adding it to mine. Happy running 🤗

My Garmin started doing that, and got worse and worse, I had to return it for a replacement eventually

I'm sure the Garmin technology must be right, maybe you need to send your heart back. Is it still under guarantee? 😜
