Diagnosing early cirrhosis / fibrosis / ALD
I apologise for the long post but I am finding myself in a really difficult position. I am 32 years old and have drank heavily over the past ten years, mostly binge drinking during weekends and holidays (4-5 weeks per year). Other than this I have been generally fit and healthy. In the past six months

Total Abdominal (Bikini cut) Hysterectomy next week..yikes!
Hi all I’m hoping someone on here is able to give me some reassurance, I’m wondering if anyone has any positive experiences of having a total hysterectomy? I keep reading about the extremely difficult recovery (which I do expect) but I’m starting to get really anxious about the whole procedure.. I

Is there any hope?
So I became pregnant with my rainbow twins (3rd pregnancy, 2nd IVF/ ICSI attempt). Unfortunately I went into premature labour at 21weeks and lost them both. My husband and I are completely broken. I just don’t know what to do. I’m 33 with PCOS and I just can’t have a baby. Is there any hope? I don’t

Non driving gene mutation-ASXL1
Although I took a lot of hormones, at least my
fibrosis
degree has been reversed, and the mutation rate has also decreased a lot. But I was found I have a new bad prognosis gene mutation-ASXL1 with the rate of mutation is 15%~16%. What is the latest international approach to this mutation?

Covid again!
Daughter has Cystic
Fibrosis
and went downhill very quickly and ended up in hospital with an awful chest. While in there, she had a courtesy Covid test - positive, despite negative LFTs at home.

Confusing fibroscan result
Now we’re extremely worried that his
fibrosis
has advanced since February, even though he is in excellent health with no decompensation symptoms, and he has remained teetotal.

An article on nutrition and aging.
"For example, the activation of telomerase through a gene therapy strategy has shown therapeutic effects in mouse models of pulmonary
fibrosis
and aplastic anemia," Blasco added.

Help with my conditions
I am on Urso but have recently had a Fibroscan which has said I have advanced
fibrosis
. I asked the nurse who rang me what this means. She didn't give me much of an answer other than lose weight and do exercise.

Dermal Fibrosis
The result on the letter is saying Dermal
fibrosis
. I have an appointment for dermatology the end of August. I was just wondering if Dermal
fibrosis
was the same as female frontal fibrosing, or something different and could this be the cause of aches and pains.

3BB Embryos in the freezer are they good enough?
I recently had a failed fresh embryo transfer on my first round of IVF with a 3AB and 3BB embryo. We not have two 3BB embryos in the freezer which we are preparing to do a frozen transfer with. I am concerned I should have not left it until 35 to start try and worry now that I have been told I have endometriosis

ELF Test (Enhanced Liver Fibrosis)
From what I understand, it measures 3 molecules in the liver matrix metabolism and gives a score reflecting the severity of
fibrosis
. They say it is so accurate it is beginning to replace liver biopsies.

Serrapeptase
I have read it is used in Europe to help alleviate pulmonary
fibrosis
, apparently it has fibrin dissolving properties.
