I’m so scared I’ve had a fibroscan and they said that there’s a small amount of fibrosis and nothing to worry about but I don’t believe them.

55yr old man born with no immune system, Brutons XLA , led to bronchiectasis or Non Famillia Cystic Fibrosis. Lung conditions went into freefall since Xmas, now on oxygen 24hs a day and being referred for transplant list . Anyone out there either been or going through the same process.

Key point "If you can stop the inflammation, you will halt the fibrosis. Once you do that, you give your body's cleanup systems time to work on the fibrosis. If you can maintain an inflammation free organ, the body can reduce the amount of fibrosis in it over time.

Second lot of cipro still awful, my breathing so bad, saw Dr. he sent me for an x ray and it's come back with left lung lots f scarring due to previous infections, emphysema changes and bronchiecstasis and fibrosis, I have never had Fibrosis mentioned in the past, can anyone help, I'm so worried!

I ask as I have hypersensitivity pneumonitis and pulmonary fibrosis. The fibrosis has worsened a lot in the last 4 months. I've always thought I wouldn't have a transplant but I cant live with more of my health declining. I feel ready to go for it of course I may not be accepted but I'll try.

Before my sct I had significant fibrosis of my bone marrow. I have recently had a bone density scan which is in the osteopenia levels but I am 71. I don't really know what happens to the fibrosis after the sct.

has anyone here cured corporal fibrosis? I cant get hard,only semis,got diagnosed with corpora fibrosis(not peyronies) of the upper third of my penis.Considering doing prp and stem cells therapy.

Has anyone any idea how long repair of a mild stage of fibrosis takes, with a healthy lifestyle, no alcohol etc?

For instance if VAF is 20% and reticulin fibrosis is MF 0-1+/3, would it be expected that if VAF was say 50% that reticulin fibrosis might jump to MF 2/3 or even 3/3? Hope I have made sense.

So sle can cause breathing problems beyond the textbook fibrosis and pleura issues.

However, nobody really spoke to the value of the Fib-4 equation score as a valid indicator of the extent of fibrosis, about which I was curious. What are your opinions on Fib-4?

Hi there. Continuing my journey to recovery, I was today told by my doctor that I need to have a blood test to see if I have any scarring of the liver. My LFT’s are better than they were in June last year. An ultrasound in August 23 noticed a fatty liver. So, can you still get scarring of the liver

A year later no mutation, 2 years later still no JAK2V617F but acquired new TET2 mutation with unknown significance and mild fibrosis that was not there before. Im only on baby aspirin, nothing else.

Following 10 years of Sarcoidosis, I have now also been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. I was having infliximab infusions but for some reason this has exacerbated my condition and doctors have now decided to try me in Xeljanz. does anyone have any experience of this?
