16km today last long run before Hackney Half on 8th May
I decided to do my long run today just to see how I am doing. I've done a couple of 15km and a 12km but today I thought I need the confidence of doing a 16-17km. The only reason I didn't get to 17km was because I was outside my house and at that distance it's very hard to go on and do the extra 1km

Been diagnosed severely anaemic when I've experienced no signs of anaemia?
Hi Due to having severe acne for 12 years I was referred to a dermatologist to be put forward for roaccutane. As everybody knows, it's a very serious drug and has dangerous side effects. Because of this I'm having to have monthly blood tests, pregnancy tests. My first blood test established that I was

Severe Anemia, Now got aching legs and short of breath?
GP put me on
Ferrous
Sulphate
but didn't know why my legs were aching. I was also short of breath all of the time. Had a Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy carried out but nothing found. But I still have aching legs, short of breath, no energy, feel dizzy and confused.

Ferrous Fumarate problems with heartburn and constipation
Hi all, I've been taking Ferrous Fumarate 210 mg tablets three times a day for a couple of weeks now (prescribed by GP), supplementing with 1000 mcg vitamin C daily. I'm getting heartburn and constipation - is there a more gentle (but at the same time effective) alternative I could use? Thanks in advance

There have been debates here there and everywhere lately about the possible benefits of Epsom salts. A dear friend tried them and they MADE ME get some ( I HATE baths BUT I am not one to close the door on any opportunity for progression!!). Me being me, I got the super family sized tub ( 5 kilos) and

Living with Restless Legs
I have been living with restless legs since the age of 14. It began after having flu. Over the years it was mild only happening about four or five times a year - not pleasant, but livable with. Five years ago it got much worse and now I have it all the time, in both my legs and arms. I take pramipexole

This particular Ferrous Fumarate is vegan, something that proved very difficult to find and it's only thanks to a very helpful Newent chemist that we found it. Hi all, I am currently having a bad flare and have been told that bath with Epsom Salts is a good way to relieve aches and pains. Has anyone else heard of this and, I know it sounds stupid, will it muck about with my meds?? Thanks :)

Which iron supplement?
The doctor sent me a letter saying my iron supplement was changed from
ferrous
fumarate to
ferrous
sulphate
. When I went to try the
ferrous
sulphate
the tablets were film coated so wouldn't dissolve in water/juice.
