I am on ferrous sulphate, vit D spray, Igennus Super b complex and have added in Igennus triple magnesium complex. I have found that since adding the magnesium in I am getting headaches and not sleeping very well despite taking it earlier in the day.

He finished the ferrous sulphate so we bought ferrous glycinate and he’s taking 60 g of that at night since yesterday . I think he needs to go to every other night with the iron as Sue suggested on a previous post, he started probiotics L plantum V 299 today also to help absorb the iron.

I've been prescribed ferrous sulphate 200mg. Not sure what 30ug/L means though can anyone enlighten me?

Utter nightmare Ferrous sulphate which I bought privately at a 200mg dose didn’t do this when I tried that a few months ago so thinking I’d just ditching the fumurate and cycling between the ferrous sulphate and bisglycinate. Is there a huge difference between the two?

Is ferrous sulphate the way to go and if so how much would I need to take? TIA

sulphate to help increase this in the hope of higher ferritin less symptoms but instead of it going up it has gone down now at 31 he's not sure how to move on from this so my gp has emailed a specialist for advise has anyone else's ferritin dropped while taking this and how have you managed to increase

Not sure whether I should request the ferrous sulphate again, OR could it be PMR flare. I have felt pretty much ok since reducing to 10mg prednisone over the past week or so, A little tired maybe on some days. Has anyone else had similar issues at all? Bloods never seem to settled down!

I have been put on Ferrous Sulphate but I can’t use it. My blood test for ferritin is 44 ug/L & it is only that high because I ate red meat I did do in desperation because the test last year was 10ug/L. I am vegetarian & I have great difficulty eating meat it seems to be hard to process for me.

I will get my ferritin levels checked, and in the mean time am taking Ferrous Sulphate I got from the chemist. But I need to do something TODAY to stop the horrors that lie in wait for me this afternoon. Any suggestions?

Hi all, I posted in February 2023 my low iron results and started taking 200 Ferrous Sulphate daily then. My iron results after 3 months were Ferritin 39 (20-204) Serum iron 18.6 (4.4-27.9) Feb 23 was: serum iron 11, ferritin was 29. So not a huge improvement. But now, a year on, even worse!

I have always had low iron, the ferrous sulphate supplements doesn’t seem to be making any difference so my GP is sceptical of me needing them.

I’m also having to take 400mg of ferrous sulphate every night. Am I entering Augmentation with gabapentin? I’ve not had my levels checked as I’m a good way from my GP practice and other health conditions prevent me travelling.

TSH 2.71 Free t4 14 Ferritin 84 Folic Acid 15.5 Vitamin D 95 I am on b12 injections and supplementing with folic acid, vit D, ferrous sulphate, vitamin C, B complex, fish oil, magnesium. I’m gluten free now, no caffeine, no alcohol and a non smoker. Not much sugar and try to eat clean food.

I have been taking Vit D 20000iu and ferrous sulphate daily for years. My question is: do I need T3 added to my Levothyroxine? If so how much? Do I need to increase my Levothyroxine? I currently take 100mg Levothyroxine 5 days and 75mg for two days.

I'm currently taking b12 sublingual supplements hydroxocobalamin 1000mcg x2 every 2nd day) , iron 2-3 times a week (dried ferrous sulphate 325 mg, w/vit c 500mg) and vit c 500mg on top, just started taking a b-complex tablet every 2nd day and a vit d and k2 spray usually 3-4000 IU.

Ferrous sulphate 200mg 4 times a week late afternoon (dr prescribed), omega 3, folate. Levo in the am then leave 1 hour before food. Last Vitamin d was 82.9nmol Added my thyroid and iron results.

Just wondering why the above is so much better than other iron forms for RLS? Thanks!

Had an awesome break through with a locum GP who checked my iron levels, found them to be low and gave me Ferrous Sulphate. It’s worked wonders. Yay!

I’ve just started taking the Ferrous Sulphate 200 mg every other day for Iron because I do think I’m still low even though it now says it’s normal on the last test ? I didn’t start the tablets until after the blood test.
