VEGAN Ferritin

This particular Ferrous Fumarate is vegan, something that proved very difficult to find and it's only thanks to a very helpful Newent chemist that we found it. Ferrous Fumarate 140 mg/5ml SYRUP, by Mercury Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Please note though that the vegan society says that vegans are rarely deficient in ferritin as a result of lack of iron in the diet, that it is more likely to be insufficient vitamin C and I have raised my level from 15 to 34 in just a few weeks through taking vitamin C only, which seems to suggest the society is correct.

But then again, not all vegans are hypo, and that makes an awful lot of difference to vitamin and mineral levels.
