Liver de-tox
Hi , I am sorry if all my posts are along the lines of "has anyone tried this!" But....has anyone tried an Epsom salts liver de-tox? I am up for trying anything that might help my condition, but, living as I do on my own, like to be able to talk things through with people in the same situation as myself

Daily running
I've been in Cornwall for a week with my gorgeous mum and sisters who live there. I've ran every day and clocked up 40 miles which is more than I've done over a week for a while. I wanted to share what I have learnt so far about daily running..... It's only now after 3 years that I feel my body is ready

There, that's better!
I knew a kicking from Laura would get me going again! Not a great distance but it if you extrapolate times it means I'll be doing 6.5 km in under an hour. Pretty slow I know but after the last effort I'm quite encouraged as I could have run a bit more. It's also a miserable truth that if you ran twice

Fersaday tablets? Is there an alternative?
Is anyone else having problems getting Fersaday Ferrous Fumarate tablets at the moment? Can anyone recommend an alternative? I have been taking 2 tablets for a long time now, as prescribed by the doctor for severe lack of iron (and for me very low ferritin). I can now grow my hair and it is so much

When I started with strange surges / vibrations, bone pain in my ribs, arms, back, neck, I decided to stop taking the

High PSA
I'm new to this site, so here's my story so far: Two years ago (when I was 68) I lost my appetite and began losing weight - I went from 12 stone in April 2014 to about 10.5 stone over two or three months. My doctor did not start doing blood tests until June of that year and did not include a PSA test

Oh boy, stumped again about what next,,,
Big hellos fellow Hashi-Hypos Long time no post but, alas, I have another chunky log of tests and symptoms to submit to your collective expertise. Tried to make it easy on the eye - hope that's worked: As per advice of some of you guys and private functional medicine GP ( Dr C in Hendon) on November

16km today last long run before Hackney Half on 8th May
I decided to do my long run today just to see how I am doing. I've done a couple of 15km and a 12km but today I thought I need the confidence of doing a 16-17km. The only reason I didn't get to 17km was because I was outside my house and at that distance it's very hard to go on and do the extra 1km

Been diagnosed severely anaemic when I've experienced no signs of anaemia?
Hi Due to having severe acne for 12 years I was referred to a dermatologist to be put forward for roaccutane. As everybody knows, it's a very serious drug and has dangerous side effects. Because of this I'm having to have monthly blood tests, pregnancy tests. My first blood test established that I was

Severe Anemia, Now got aching legs and short of breath?
GP put me on
Ferrous
Sulphate
but didn't know why my legs were aching. I was also short of breath all of the time. Had a Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy carried out but nothing found. But I still have aching legs, short of breath, no energy, feel dizzy and confused.

Ferrous Fumarate problems with heartburn and constipation
Hi all, I've been taking Ferrous Fumarate 210 mg tablets three times a day for a couple of weeks now (prescribed by GP), supplementing with 1000 mcg vitamin C daily. I'm getting heartburn and constipation - is there a more gentle (but at the same time effective) alternative I could use? Thanks in advance
