Amlodipine, Cough and flu symptoms
Hello all, Have been taking 5mg Amlodipine for a couple of months and no side effects and BP come down. But 3 weeks ago got a slight cough which wasn't too troublesome. However this week cough is much worse and I have chills as if I had flu. Also get some indigestion after eating. Anyone else had these

Hello. I was diagnosed with MVA last May by a sympathetic cardiologist but in reality had it since 2007. I’m on a cocktail of ramipril, digitalizm, long lasting nitrates and statins. Lately my symptoms seem to have got worse, to the point that I’m frightened to go out the house in case I pass out. My

Cardioversion
I have been diagnosed with Afib following a massive pulmonary embolism in April this year. Echo cardiogram shows no lasting heart damage ("surprisingly" the technician has put!) but all EKG tests show Afib present at all times. I am unaware of it, but I have to say I feel like I aged ten years following

How long does it take for the Amlodipine to settle Blood Pressure?
I posted something a couple of weeks ago and buried in the text was a question that I think I’m finding the answer to myself: How long does it take for the Amlodipine to settle BP and steady Palpitations or is this fluttering, anxious feeling going to remain? And I have found a good link specific to

Have just spent a week in Hospital with chest infection which has agrevated my A/F and given me slight heart failure. How long to recover ?
This came on by feeling a bit breathless six weeks ago. I am still feeling tired and rough a lot on the time saw heart failure nurse today who put me on Ramipril as well as Bisoprolol 5mg twice per and Digoxin 125mcg per per day. Any advice would be appreciated.

Omezaprole or not?
I was referred to a gastroenterologist because of some bowel issues. The GP thought they might be connected to malabsorption. I had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy at the weekend. Colonoscopy seemed fine, biopsies were taken. Gastroscopy showed hiatus hernia, oesophagitis and gastritis. Biopsies were

Can I have a Merry Christmas ?
Just a little question since Christmas is coming. Can I drink alcohol while taking Carvedilol and Ramipril ? Not mentioned by Cardiologist or GP. I also have breast cancer so something to cheer me along would be good..... !

Ramipril
Started on ramipril at Easter - but had to change to Losartan about a month ago due to the cough - I had persevered with the ramipril but I just couldn’t live with the cough anymore. My question is - how long does it take for the cough to go after stopping taking Ramipril? I’ve still got the cough now

Vitamin D
Just wondering if it is ok to take vitamin D supplements with heart meds, or even to increase vitamin D rich foods. Currently take: Ivabradine, atorvastatin, losartan, aspirin, amlodipine, amitriptyline.
