So I have been on Levo 50mcg since end of Aug, I was prescribed this following a private consultation with Harpal Clinic along with LDN.

My other posts have my previous results in.

I went to my GP end of Sept and explained the situation to her - she said she may prescribe me Levo on the NHS provided I supply a copy of the consultation from Harpal which I have now done and also have some more Thyroid blood tests. So I have been to pick the results up from my tests today these are: (Please not these were morning tests although I didn't Fast as I wanted them to have improved)

TSH 3.2miu/l (0.20-4.00)

FreeT4 17.9pmol/L (10.0-20.0)

TPO 95iu/mL (<100)

So my TSH hasn't massively come down (last NHS result was 4.3) My T4 has gone up from 13.8 which I guess is good and my TPO has stayed about the same.

I have another appointment with the GP on the 5th Dec and am hoping they will now prescribe me Levo on the NHS - I cant afford to keep paying privately as I am already paying for Ramipril and Sertraline on top of the Levo and LDN!!

I'm just after some advice on to how next to proceed and if any of you experts see anything in my recent results

Previous Medichecks test showed you have Hashimoto's.....though NHS testing of just TPO antibodies was very odd result

Ask GP to retest TPO antibodies

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

NHS refuses to acknowledge Hashimoto's on just high TG antibodies (so they won't test TG antibodies unless TPO antibodies are over range)

Your TPO antibodies were only just under maximum and normally NHS maximum on TPo antibodies is 34 ....so the result seems odd

On Levothyroxine the aim is to increase the dose slowly in 25mcg steps upwards until TSH is under 2. FT4 in top third of range and FT3 at least half way in range

So you are in need of dose increase in Levothyroxine

Official NHS guidelines saying TSH should be between 0.2 and 2.0 when on Levothyroxine

(Many of us need TSH nearer 0.2 than 2.0 to feel well)
