Can statins cause diarrhoea?
Following a heart attack in August 2021, I was prescribed Atorvastatin, Ramipril, Asprin, Clopidogrel, Bisoprolol and Lansoprazole. For almost 3 weeks now, I have been suffering from early morning diarrhoea, starting from about 6am. After about 3 bouts, it then stops and I have no more episodes for

Tablets
I am absolutely desperate trying to deal with all the tablets. As I have aphobia about swallowing tablets I am managing to swallow Bisoprolol, and Ramipril and take aspirin dispersible. I have to crush Atorvastatin and Clopidogrel and I dread having to take them. It is causing me untold dread each

Ramipril
Good morning everyone I’ve been prescribed Ramipril 2.5mg a day. I haven’t got high blood pressure. I have early signs of dilated cardiomyopathy. I’m on day 3 of taking it. It says on the label to take it in the morning, but it’s making me feel very light headed and groggy around lunchtime. I work

Blood pressure still unstable
Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well and having a lovely day so far. I could do with some peoples experience with blood pressure. At the moment I’m taking Slozem and ramipril and there is some improvement. Bp not so high as it was, however, just as before, the first week to 10 days after starting

Hypertensive Crisis
Within 48 hours of having my Covid Pfizer booster my blood pressure has elevated to readings in the range of 203/100 - 196/115 for 2 days. My GP has prescribed me Amlodipine 5mg to take alongside Bisoprolol 2.5 which I have been taking for 5 years post heart attack. I started taking the Amlodipine immediately

Statin reaction
This may seem petty and unimportant but two years ago I had a stent fitted as I had a blockage in my LAD . Every morning I take 75m aspirin and 40g Atorvastatin. I usually take these after breakfast about 9.00 the an hour and a half later I feel spaced out. At night I take ramipril and

Thyroid and Amlodipine
After being told I have a blood problem, and raised blood pressure, the GP put me on Amlodipine. I cannot find any reference to contra indications, but would like anyone who is on this to give me feedback. I know it is a calcium channel blocker, which may help my Raynaud's apparently, and I am sure

HBP and Anxiety - Best Time for Medication.
Hi all, hope you are all well, Just a comment today and a question. Firstly, no matter how hard it feels trying to get high blood pressure under control, don't be like me - impatient - you will get there it really is a matter of finding the right medication and this can take time. That and lifestyle

Amlodipine 5mg
Well, took one tablet of the new blood pressure tablets and reacted badly after several hours - severe headache, dizzy/disorientated, bellyache, nausea and finally sick! I checked the ingredients and there is a starch additive which could cone from corn, wheat or potatoes - and I am allergic to potatoes

Palpitations
I had a small HA nearly 5 years ago and am on Asprin, Remipril, Atorvastatin and Amlodipine. Over the last 10 months I've lost almost three stone (intentionally). I feel as if my internal organs are having a few issues with not having the visceral fat I had for three decades or so! I've had digestive

Tapering and blood pressure meds ?
I am tapering on rheumatologists instruction by 2.5 per week over 6 weeks (posted re this before to perform a scan without pred masking anything). Since then been prescribed meds for blood pressure as was high. I'm now on 12.5 pred and my blood pressure is in the normal range finally. Just wondering

Review after 4weeks OFF bisoprolol
Well, I saw my gp this morning and we both agreed I need some sort of blood pressure medication. I asked for bendrfuromethiside(or however it’s spelt 🤣) as my normal bp outside of af episodes was fine, and I got no awful side effects (no peeing for England either!) but he wasn’t happy with that because

Depression
Hi everyone, I started ramipril a few days ago. Everything is going great with lowering the bp although it’s still not quite normal but so much better then it was, however today woke up feeling so depressed. Looked at the side effects and yep there it is. Just wondered if anyone else had this and how
