Merry Christmas and a tale of HBP hope
Hi all, particularly those who are struggling to get blood pressure under control. This is my story ... In June I found my BP was 180/100 and was prescribed 5 mg of Ramipril. In July my BP fuelled by anxiety peaked at 215/115 and an ambulance car took me to A & E. Result was Amlodipine 5 mg added.

Palpitations and Magnesium
I've read that magnesium can help with palpitations. Has anyone already on heart meds (I'm on atorvastatin, aspirin, ramipril and amlodipine) tried taking it for that purpose? I've suffered from them for many years, starting long before my HA but they have gotten a lot worse recently. I'd like to do

Hi after heart attack a few years ago I have been on Bisoprolol and Ramipril I forgot to take one dose, I was unwell and slept for the entire day and when I woke up I realised it was probably too near to the next dose to take it, so I went on the nhs website and read the patient leaflet they both said

I have LVF and am taking Ramipril and Carvedilol.
Is it safe to take Vitamin C and zinc ? I had an EF of 35 after chemo and Herceptin and it is hoped it will improve in time. I saw a Cardiologist two years and it hadn’t and I haven’t seen him since then or had an echo understandably. I have no symptoms. Because of Covid dodging I’m about to take some

Ramipril to Losartan
I’ve finally decided to ask my Cardio nurse to change my 2.5mg Ramipril to something else (after 5years) she has recommended Losartan. I had the cough and was losing so much sleep due to coughing it was really affecting how I was feeling. I’m sure many of you have done this for the same reason, I

Prescribed Amodipine Blood pressure went Down then back UP
I have just been diagnosed with calcification of the coronary artery and have been prescribed 5mg Amlodipine and 10mg Atorvastatin. Within 4 days my BP went down from average 155/100 to 128/88. However over the next couple of days it was back up to 148/99 with a high of 161/10. Why does this happen

Exercise post HA (four years ago)
As above, I had a mild HA some years ago. Over the last few months I've lost a lot of weight (purposefully) and am a healthy BMI for the first time in decades. I'm on Amlodipine, Remipril, aspirin and Atorvastatin. The only problem I have now is palpitations, and I had those for a long time before my
